I agree, even if they were aware, they didn't care because it made them money anyways, and through 'legitimate' pathways.

There needs to be more personal accountability. If they want to be accountable for the insane amounts of money they may claim every day, then they need to be responsible for the means that money is made, and for those that they hire to help in acquiring that money. Mitigating that risk by delegating the risk to others should mean they are not able to claim that portion of the revenue associated with that risk.

People who don't do the due diligence to find out where the money comes from are just as complicit, in my eyes, as the people attempting to spread the propaganda.

It's unfortunate that most of our lawmakers are ignorant to how the internet works. The people with power to fix these problems are out of touch with new technology and don't even know there are problems to begin with. How they are so unaware is beyond me, I mean the internet is over 20 years old at this point.

I feel like all representatives should be treated the same as the president in this particular context: 2 terms, no more. There are people who are still representing us that have had the same seat since before the internet became commercially viable.

Okay I knew it was bad, but that was way worse than I was expecting. It's no wonder everything is going to shit.
