That must have been a ginormous dose of pesticide to clobber an entire regions bee hives. My first thought before opening to article was if it was frequency based, but pesticide it is.

funny story from last week: as i was digging a hole into a hugelultur bed to plant a potato, a freakin' swarm of bees came out. there was some cavity they occupied.

had to run.

i am trying to make them move into a hive now.

well, hugelkultur is kinda a raised bed, still, it was very wtf.

and i heard the buzzing, coming from under the surface, but just ignored it :-)
