I agree the attacks benefit the oil prices. They also apparently benefit the military-industrial complex of france, who was able to sell saudi on this huge radar installation. I think they have to allow the french military because of OPEC or some other agreement too, not sure

Just because you«re given a fancy system doesn't mean it will do u any good if u don't know how to use it. Usually a nation that sells equipment also provides training and formation.

Since the saudis might be feeling the urgency, it would make sense to have the french there to operate it until their people is up to speed.

True, I guess I imagined the french themselves will also run it permanently, as a way for france to get another base in saudi arabia
