Before, the Iranian government said "technical malfunction, not shot down by missile or act of terrorism"

Now, they're saying it's an 'unintentional' missile strike that they did?

Hmm

who knows what was the chain of events. unintentional human error caused by a technical malfunction, or a technical malfunction caused by an unintentional human error?

how is it possible to do an unintentional missile strike anyway? it's not like oops, i spilled my coffee. someone gave the order, so, who was it and what was involved in his decision making process?

Good question. I guess in my mind I imagined they mis-identified the airplane as being a foreign hostile. But commercial airplane transport routes are all pre-planned, so it shouldn't be a surprise...

Didn't they said impossible or something along those lines?

I suspect they knew all along, otherwise they would have said they would investigate or accused the americans.
