At this point the blatant-ness of it might actually be intentional, to act to further trigger a conflict they know they'd win.
Shit that's crazy, but I can see how speeding things up is in their best interests, with baby boomers aging out and US secular Jews getting tired of Israel's policies.

Yeah everything is lined up right now.
They're like a judo champion laying on their back, waiting for the enemy to fall on them. All they need is a half-passable excuse, and they may not even need that. The public is so sedated toward this issue right now, and with Trump in power they can blame it all on him. There's a lot of convenient reasons to push things toward war for those in power.
