I've said it before and I'll say it again: There needs to be an easily accessible method of releasing information for the public to see, that cannot be taken down or removed once posted, and is outside the control of any government.

Freedom of speech requires anonymity. It requires a place where everybody can congregate on equal footing. A place free of the fear from faceless governments and faceless companies. So long as they remain faceless and above the law, so should all of us.

We own no islands. The land beneath our feet is loaned. The purity of the air we breathe is decided by rich fat cats sitting behind armored walls. The measly gun is slowly being restricted into oblivion.

There needs to be a new internet.

The "rich fat cats" are still our brothers and sisters. They are just like us, flawed like us. More importantly, we are flawed just like them. Which is why revolution never seems to last.

There needs to be a new internet.

Vague platitude. What do you desire from such a project? It would be more pertinent to contribute to existing work, such as IPFS or a local mesh network. The issue is really not technology, but the inertia of existing large social networks.
