After all, then no one could predict the development of events.

Tons of people saw the war coming when Russia started massing troops on the border and nobody believed their "war exercise" claims. In fact, it's notable for outting several Russian shills, comrade, seeing who pushed the lie. For a while in the beginning it was pretty apparent the US had real time intel on Putin's doings. They read him like a cheap novel.

I think it's pretty obvious Putin's goal is to get the band back together and it benefits his agenda to try to cloud the issue and gaslight everyone. Oh yeah lets just ignore Russia and stop making this war so damned expensive for them. It's not like they don't want to get onto the next one already.

America has been funding the Nazis for eight years so it's not that hard to see provocations since 2014.

And why make it about Putin? That's truly odd...

Why recognize the Donbas republics when it's supposedly to "get the band back together?

Why not, they'll just decide to join the new Soviet Republic later.

Because he's the guy in charge of Russia, and what Putin wants is what Russia does.

That's missing the point that they asked for his help.

Putin has to concede to the Congress and the most powerful is the Communist Party that told him to recognize them.
