I just put "parler" into twitter search just now and all the top results are screenshots off this one guy spouting Trump nonsense and a comment like "this is what they are talking about on Parler right now." It's ridiculous, can you imagine one person saying dumb things on Facebook or reddit and then people trying to make out the whole platform was saying the same stuff. I mean we did see that a bit during gamergate but I thought most people learnt from that. Certainly people in tech should know better.

Not to mention, of all the criticisms to make of Parler, the fact that there might be some idiots on there (regardless of how representative they are of the entire platform) is probably the stupidest criticism to make. I'd be pointing out how it doesn't even keep the promises it makes to its users. It's not "privacy friendly" to require users to upload a photo of their driver's license, nor is it to require people to give their SSN to become part of the "influencer network". Further, the biggest promise they make is that they "don't censor", which really means that they don't censor right-wing points of view. Parler has no problem censoring any viewpoints that the Mercer family disagrees with.

Presumably it's been on the hit list for a while, waiting for an opportunity.

Yeah, this worries me. The mainstream media is hypocritical. No wonder Fox came on the scene. They are pretty consistent i.e. use of deadly force is justified in shooting the protestors. Has anyone heard Malcolm X’s speech on white liberals? I think it was a little different back then in terms of a white majority, but now things are more multiethnic. The ruling class has no ideological diversity but takes minorities and uses them to say the same thing and calls it “diversity.” Not diversity of thought. In the video, if you change white liberal to “coastal elites,” check how eerie it’s still relevant. Also, the ruling class absolutely uses black people as a toy to get their own way and that disturbs me to the core of my soul. You really see the misogyny, homophobia, racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism when you free your mind of the left/right dichotomy.

Also, I hate to say it, but I think the only reason Parler and conservatives are being banned is because they are the working class. The only relevant dichotomy is the haves and the have nots. The have nots don’t get a voice and they are controlled by the wealthy property owners. The wealth gap is so extreme, however, that the poor and the middle have a slim chance of moving out of their social caste.

Nobody's forcing you to do anything, but I thought I'd at least give people who were interested some instructions on how to access the original post that I took the screenshot from, which was needed since it isn't from the normal web, it's from ZeroNet, which is an extremely censorship-resistant alternative to the normal web, but you do need to install it before using it.
