Discord would be much better with open source software and a federated/decentralized platform.

I don't really use Discord, it's handy for crypto sometimes.

It seems hard to avoid anymore. It got popular by gamers. The lie-filled woke-implosion of FreeNoode IRC didn't help by erasing the trusting and reasonable alternative. It seems like crappy monetized chat to me. The Yahoo Messenger of the day. Yet, at least it works and is free.

    Some guy in charge was talking about free speech morals, and making it a free speech safe-place, as censorship had recently turned the place into a Reddit-shithole. He was then portrayed to be associated with Trump, so the woke moderators all up and left, creating Lie-beria, where they tricked many open source projects to migrate to.

    The original Freenode is still there, but it is constantly hit with DDoS attacks and their skilled moderators all got woke-bullied into leaving. So there is no Tor hidden server support any more last I went, making it useless to me.
