I think a lot of people on reddit could not take the non-PC approach of saidit. Their brains might explode.

Yeah and I think that there are a lot of chucklefucks that view reddit as the de facto watering hole. There's a "feel good" factor that the non-intrepid will struggle with in coming over here.

I think that we need to accept that we're really better than other people. If you like Saidit better than reddit, then that's a sign of intellect and character. We should stick together and get through this. Play the game. Provide subtle resistance to the lunacy.

I accept.

That degree of oversensitivity is not organic, not as a society-wide phenomenon anyway; it's been culturally conditioned. And as such I fully believe it can be unlearned, but without a massive paradigm shift that would require a level of personal motivation that most redditors just don't have. So I agree with you but I think it's as much about culture as it is personality.

holyfuck.. and this would happen in the middle of an argument..

and it would make it look like you couldn't respond .. killing the conversation (or making it pathetically slow)

but the end result was allowing those that downvote to limit your ability to respond
