He banned it for catharsis. TD was a dead sub and had been for months due to dishonest reddit shenanigans. He just wanted to hit the ban button because that sub had been such a headache for him for so long. Also, they called him a pedophile a lot.

Is there actually truth behind the claims that hes a pedo? Like, any hard evidence showing bias from the govt for not prosecuting?

I've never heard of any reason specific to him. The company in general has a long history of defending pedo content, but that happened even when he wasn't there.

This is one thing I really hate. People tend to make these claims a lot for people they don't like, with no evidence to back it up. Shit like this can ruin someone's life. Say what you want about the guy, but don't call him a pedo for no reason.

Your general counsel said on Monday that there’s a place for President Trump on Reddit. But given how the president has been testing the limits and rules of all the platforms that he’s on, and creating all these headaches for their leaders, do you really want Mr. Trump on Reddit?

Look, nobody wants to be in an echo chamber, right? It’s boring and unhelpful to read a one-sided view of any issue. So we welcome political views across the spectrum. I think Trump’s rhetoric and campaign style is deliberately antagonistic, and that makes it easy to run afoul of our policies. But we have many conservatives on Reddit, and we have Trump supporters on Reddit who are perfectly capable of staying within our rules. And we hope that continues to be the case going forward.

Those are the right words. Actions speak louder than words however.

T_D made a clever move and made their own platform with lots of users instead of relying upon this idiot's mercy. They were a thorn in his butt with how they played him instead of waiting for the ban or giving him control of their sub.

I am pretty distanced from American politics but it was obvious what reddit wanted and T_D didn't give in. Along with MGTOW and TRP and other major communities, they left and it was a loss for Censorit and not for them.

We welcome opposite political views as long as those do not threaten in any shape or form, even if only as an argument, our own political views. Punching bag is a valid form of being a Trump supporter, and they should be glad we actually let them participate as such. They are really ingrates.
