This is concerning because:

  1. They are now shadowbanning individual comments, not just users.

  2. They are covering up scientific research related to an ongoing epidemic.

  3. There is a chance this is a human-created bio-weapon, and they might be covering that up.

Even if 3 isn't true in the end, 1 and 2 alone are very concerning.
