you would think before getting on a boat you might learn to swim first.... like fuck,

But also ive heard if you are around other people that are drowning can be very dangerous because they will try to hold onto you and drag you under with them.

When I was a kid and we went on a field trip to some resort, I tried swimming in this pool. Well, I "tried" swimming, but the fact is, I didn't (and still don't) know how to swim! I slipped in the pool and couldn't get up and I felt like I was drowning. My first instinct was to grab on to whatever leg I saw wiggling above me lol! Yeah, drowning people, those who don't know how to swim or those who are just fearful, will just grab whatever's nearby.

A lifeguard once told me that if trying to save multiple people drowning at the same time, the only way to control them and stop them from freaking out is to first punch them in the face!

These little rats purposefully tipped their boat because they believe (and sometimes it works) that the other vessel will be forced to rescue them and take them into the country.

This time they were wrong.

Pro tip - If you end up in the water and are wearing pants pull them off, tie the legs in tight knots, lift them up by the waist and pull down to capture air. You can float forever if you keep repeating that as the air needs to be replenished.

Simple ability to swim would have saved these people.

Don't get in a crowded boat if you don't know how to swim. You're walking a tight rope without a net.
