I dunno, after seeing many vids of people chopped in half by a train and still look alive and kicking I doubt everything these days.

Right, if there's one thing I've learned from WPD it's that being ripped in half in now way guarantees immediate death. Worse still, if you get spun around like this, it essentially ties off the wound, and you can live for hours after the fact, with no hope of living any longer than that. The funny thing is the vids I've seen of bifurcated people is that they aren't screaming in agony either, they're gazing around, confused and spaced out, which seems like a hell unto itself.

I always wonder what state they're in, has their body gone in to total shock, can they feel any pain, do they know what's happened? Freaks me out to think about it.

I don't think they're really feeling the pain, because their eyes aren't wincing. I think their brain must be pumping out the maximum amount of endorphins it's capable of producing, combined with very low blood pressure, which is probably something like being drunk. Imagine being terrified, drunk and high all at the same time. The same thing is seen in animals that are being eaten alive by bigger predators.

Fascinating & terrifying. Worst one I've seen is the only non-suicide one I've come across; the young girl who'd been hit by a car and cut in half, her mother comes over screaming and she's just lay there vaguely staring about. That one really stayed with me.
