He probably expected te get shot, panicked, and decided to shoot first without even asking. Kind of understandable, but such cowardice shouldn't be tolerated, if you don't want to risk your life don't be a cop.

I'll tolerate this over the punk in the scream mask threatening everyone for some snacks. Shooter was calm and precise, douchebag won't be troubling anyone again.

As far as we know this punk could have been a harmless retard with a toy gun. Even if I agree with you that criminals are overprotected, and that this guy deserved what happened to him, cops are not judges nor should be. There has been many cases of corrupt and unfit officers, and we should be careful not to give too much power to them.
