I'm trying to find an article, I'm curious what triggered it.

It's on the Liveleak home page, here is the description there.

At 9 o'clock in the evening, a child on an overpass in Shanghai suddenly rushed out from the stopped private car and leaped down to the bridge, leaving the woman chasing him to squat. It is said that the child is a senior elementary school student and is blamed by his mother for doing stupid things. Ugh! Now the child's AQ is really worrying.

Thanks!

The source I gabbed the video from (theync) making up titles and backstories again!

So was a mother and son, and not gf/bf? If so, that makes this a lot worse. I imagine this is the case since he was sitting in the back seat, not the front.

Just curious. In what way does that make it worse?

I don't like how this video is edited. It points all the blame on a selfish act by a child. But if you watch the original video, the mother is stopped in the middle of a road intentionally blocking traffic on a bridge.

Blame aside, I can sort of understand how a kid, with a mother who would stop her car in traffic just to carry on an argument, would come to think of suicide as a solution. That must be an insane family environment. The mother will probably never make that connection, though.

well maybe they were fighting in the car and she had to stop, and a child thats gonne comit suicide eveytime ehh i mean just once, when some1 acusing it of something wrong(or right)is not gonne have a long life i gues

I don't see that as a selfish act, not that I do any suicide. This was completely impulsive. Child was just upset and made a split second fatal decision. Call of the void is strong, man.

call of the void is strong is an understatement. sometimes i hold my firearm in my hand and just wonder if i should do it. Nothing really negative going on. Just kinda fed up, you know? Like, why keep pushing myself when there really is no success? I have a loving wife and I love her, but society is just going downhill.
