I see a lot of people posting rehosted videos, instead of just linking to wherever they must have been found. Im just wondering why people do that, because I often want to find the back story, and the video alone often doesnt have as many clues as the liveleak post or wherever.

They come from Telegram groups a lot of the time or other communities like that.
use the following search parameters to narrow your results:
e.g. sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
advanced search: by author, sub...
