In this video, a scooterist with a child passenger tries to go straight, but a cement truck turns right without noticing them. Both the scooterist and the child passenger get crushed under the cement truck's wheels.

Personal opinion, shouldn't it be that if you're on the rightmost lane and the lane on your left clearly allows both to go straight or make a right turn, you should only make a right turn yourself? So many videos like this from China where the guy on the right lane gets crushed by a vehicle making a right turn from the middle lane.

I haven't been back in a few years, but the rightmost lane you see in the video is a motorcycle/electrical scooter/bike only lane. I'm assuming that this is to prevent these bikes from weaving between vehicles, but if you're not driving a 4 wheel vehicle I'm pretty sure you have to use that lane (this is why there's a plastic fender between the rightmost lane and the others). not sure how theyre supposed to avoid cars turning right, though. Seems like an accident waiting to happen

You're forgetting the possibility that the truck SHOULD HAVE STOPPED or LOOKED BEFORE TURNING. The rule is probably something like "if you're not on the rightmost lane, you have to look and yield or stop".
