In this video, a mother can be seen crossing the road ahead of her child. Her kid runs after her but there's an incoming motorcycle at high speed. The mom sees the motorcycle about to hit her child so she covers her child and takes the full force of the motorcycle and dies for her child.

Personal opinion, this is why when you have a child and you're outside, always hold their hand. Kids are easy to kidnap, easy to lose, and they're definitely harder to spot on the road than full grown adults.

It's a "road". Travelling down the "road" at "high speed" is pretty much what motor vehicles do. TBH, a fucking oxcart would have had trouble avoiding that one the way the kid just ran out into the "road".

In a civilzed world "traveling at high speed down any road" is NOT what vehicles do.

Notice how the cars aren't that fast. There are people on the side of the road, the speed of the bike was too high.

Of course that doesn't excuse a child running around unattended. But safety isn't a one way road about being right.

"High speed", meaning he was probably doing 30mph. I don't care how good you are, if someone literally runs right out in front of you and stops directly in your path, there's not much you are going to be able to do besides hit them.

Pretty sure the person on the bike couldn't do much to avoid that.

Not really. She was just trying to pick her child up. If anything she is behind her child when the motorcycle hits.

They both would have lived (without a scratch) if the mother didn't turn around and attempt to pick her child up. The child almost comes to a stand still when she reaches her mother.

After the crash, you can see the rider get up, places his hands on the top of his head in distraught, retreats to the grass, then drops to his knees as what has happened heavily sinks in.

There are other, more efficient ways to protect your child. Don't turn your back on the child. Don't run across the road in front of the child. Teach your child to look into both directions and take out his earphones before crossing any roads.
