The parent was clearly doing the old "Fine, you stay here. I'm leaving. Bye" to get the kid to behave.

Mad props to the driver of the car, who realises what happened and seems to offer them a ride to hospital.

....seems to offer them a ride to hospital.

Or off to the organ harvesting clinic before the kid cools down.

In this video, a mother can be seen leaving her kid alone on the sidewalk as she tries to make him follow her. The kid crouches down and doesn't follow at first. The mom keeps walking away and telling the kid to follow her. The kid eventually gets up, but as soon as he gets on the entrance/exit of a parking area, a car enters and runs over him. You can see how badly the wheels bent his neck and ran over his head that even in slow motion, the snap of the head still appears to be fast. The mom sees this as it's happening and panics but there's nothing she could do because she's so far away. She starts running towards her kid as he's being crushed by the car. Upon reaching her kid, she picks up his unresponsive body. The driver of the car gets out and also panics. The mother takes her kid inside the woman's car.

Personal opinion, this is another one of those videos where the accident could have been totally avoided. I wonder what the mom was thinking at first. Was she scolding her kid, trying to teach him a lesson? Why leave the kid so far behind? A little kid like that's definitely very hard to see especially when coming from the blindspot of a vehicle. Although it's understandable for any parent to panic and pick up a loved one after they've been crushed, it's just gonna make things worse for the victim's body inside. I wonder how many of those accidents ended up with the victim dying because someone mishandled them instead of waiting for an ambulance with trained medical personnel to handle the situation in the best way possible.

Asian parents do this often, pretending to leave the child when the child is being uncooperative. The mother had no bad intentions, others would have hit their children when they ran out of patience with their child. Really unfortunate.

Population control at it's finest.

So a crushed head is preferable to a spanked butt? Always wondered just how deeply the 'no physical punishment' BS ran. Oh well, mommy can rejoice in the knowledge she exercised superior morality and ethical judgement, by not hitting the lil feral like those terrible and orgish disciplinarian parents do....and I'm sure the child much preferred being crushed to a sore bottom as well!

If you somehow believe she knew the kid was going to be run over and that that would teach him a lesson, you’re the biggest fucking moron I have ever seen.

By doing almost ANYTHING besides what they did.

She will regret that for the rest of her life.

"All right one year old kid, you stay there by yourself and I'm going to head off to the store, you'll be fine."

How the fuck are these fucking morons allowed to have kids? I feel terrible for any kid being raised in China, it's fucking pure luck if you make it out alive with parents like these.

It goes down to human ethics. If you don't put up safety barriers in the sweat shops, you'll let your kid walk in the middle of a city on his own. Chinese are animals, actually worse than animals.

As soon as I saw the description, I knew it had to be a Chinese incident.
