What in the actual hell are you talking about? "Gain height and get a view of the woman"?! His truck had rammed into the wall directly in front of him at that point. If he can't tell what just happened and needs to "get a view" then he's beyond retarded.

His first instinct should have been to back the truck out. He likely wouldn't be able to get the front wheels out of the pit, but he may have been able to reverse a few inches. He should have at least tried.

Even if he was worried about doing more damage by trying to reverse, he should've just opened the door and gotten out. Same if he wanted to see if the woman had ducked into the pit. There is no reason for him to climb out of the window.

That's all beside the fact that he seems unable to properly inch the truck forward. He doesn't just overestimate a little and pop the front wheels over the lip of the pit. He goes full forward and rams into the wall. There is no excuse for that.

My issue with the /s/Oneda's post is that he blames the woman, saying she "overestimated how much it should move forward". No she fucking didn't. She was telling the driver to move forward because there was still space to move forward. She wasn't expecting the idiot behind the wheel to floor it into the wall.

If I'm telling my friend how far he can back up his car and there's still a couple of feet left, and I say, "Yeah, keep going," and wave my hand, and he floors it and rams into the wall behind him before I can even react, that's not my fault, it's his. Of course I wouldn't be standing right behind his car (that is stupid, I don't deny that), but he'd still be the idiot and responsible for any damage he caused and I'd tell him to fuck off if he tried to blame me.
