Regardless of whether the car was stolen, they were driving it in the direction of the cop. Vehicles ARE very deadly weapons. While the cop was firing you could see them continue to turn but in the cop's point of view he has no idea if they were going to go around him or try to hit him. He was completely justified with initially shooting. These kids made a very dumb mistake, but just because something bad happens to them doesn't mean that they were innocent in the matter.
I will say though, the shots AFTER the vehicle had clearly turned and was no longer a danger are very questionable and should be looked into. But nobody here is mentioning that.

The fact that this is even up for debate shows you how idiotic people are in the US now. We're heading for a tyranny soon because democracy doesn't work when the population is full of morons.

so cops not killing kids is tyranny? imagine if he didnt shoot them. the kids drive away and the cop has their address, so he either knocks on the door and explains the situation to the parents or he simply fucking waits and charges them with fleeing from cops or try to understand why they drove away when they come back. killing those kids does nothing to even fix whatever problem he was trying to address by having them get out of the car in the first place, it is just senseless murder that so many people defend i have no faith in the future.

That's exactly why the founding fathers, based and red pilled as they were, did not make a democracy. They made a republic. Hell, they specifically mentioned that democracy is a bad idea, for the same reason you mentioned - half of the population is below average.
