Getting hit by vehicles is a pretty universal problem, especially if you don't look both ways before crossing the street. If you're gonna take cheap shots at America, why not pick an actual problem? Like our complete and utter failure at handling Covid, or our retarded healthcare system, or the US' problem with racism and police brutality?

Actual question from a non american here: is that how you guys see this situation? Driving without slowing down to see if people want to cross at a crossing like that would absolutely not fly where I'm from. Driver's fault. Legally and morally.

Some areas do, some don’t. New York City? It’s filled with a bunch of assholes. The truck had a green light so he just assumed he was good to go.
