Come on guys, the cop should had just gave him a ticket and let him go ! They escalated the situation just because they tried to fuck the guy up and send him to jail for just minor stupid shit, the guy was pushed in the corner and he just shot them ! I think the cop who died deserved it bad !

Are you actually retarded or 14? The vehicle had no insurance, no registration. It's on the road illegally. That means it gets towed. Very simple concept.

[–]jean-claude-van-lee 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

Sometimes police can turn a blind eye ffs, nobody would lost their fucking life for a vehicle with no insurance ! Are you dumb ?

[–]Thundernut 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Lol wow you really are an idiot. A normal human wouldn't shoot officers because they didn't want to get out of the car. You are just as dumb as the guy in jail for life.

[–]jean-claude-van-lee 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

He knew he was going to jail. They would search him and find concealed weapon and who knows what else he had in the car. I am glad the cop died, he should had returned and shoot the other in the head.

[–]883xl 4 insightful - 4 fun4 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

Yea, No one would have lost their life over insurance if the guy didn't commit murder; but sure blame the police for keeping the law on the roads. The guy had a warrant, no insurance, no registration. He and his vehicle had no business being on the road.

The mental gymnastics you have to do to defend the murderer in this case is kind of amazing.

[–]jean-claude-van-lee 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Dude you don't get it, you should never escalate things if you care for your life for a fucking car ! It's like 2 robbers get into a store to rob it with guns, you notice the guys are somewhat noobs and try to fight them for some fucking candies and 2000 $ in the cashier ! They maybe don't have the intent to kill anyone but making the big dick would get you a bullet in the head. So what i am saying, enforce the law but do it civil, what if the guy needed the car to meet someone that night ? Get the car some other time and case closed ! Everyone lives happy life.

[–]wohagav 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

Deserved to die for enforcing the law? You're nuts. If you don't like the law complain to your politicians.

[–]fishbox 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They did violate his rights, there was no law being enforced.

[–]CockMeatSandwich 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Exactly the only reading they gave for wanting him out of the car is because we don’t like you and we told you so taxes and maced him and that wasn’t enough so they try to wrestle him to the ground he got scared for his life and shot if they weren’t cops no one would bat an eye people gotta stop thinking cops are impeccable gods with the right to do anything. They’re lives are not blue they could’ve been teachers but the chose to be bullies and guess what it got them one of you dead and the other brain damaged play

[–]wohagav 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

he got scared for his life

all he had to do was step out of the car. At no point his life was in danger. He just didn't want to get arrested and that doesn't stand in court for reason to kill someone.

The reason cops ask suspects to step out of the car is shown in this video exactly, criminals keep guns in the fucking car.

[–]FuckheadDK 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Ding ding ding. But nah, let's defend this scumbag endlessly. Throw the book at this dude.

[–]fishbox 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

he does not have to step out of the car. The cops are the ones who made into this.

[–]AlasMyChildren 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Correct. All the people replying about "rightfully enforcing the law" and blah blah blah. See here's the thing guys....prepare yourselves......humans aren't perfect. We actually have emotion unlike your Sun God "the law". The suspect seemed like a reasonably polite guy, but he was clearly upset/rattled and possibly a little intoxicated etc. So, when Mr. Retarded officer decides to act like a cowboy, telling a guy who is expressing concern about rights violations "i'll taze you" and frequently taunting him with that threat, it's no surprise that the cop got some late night lead for supper. The cop caused this without any doubt, and again, you can whinge about who is lawful and who ain't, but the cop died in his 30's, screaming like Homer Simpson after he clumsily tripped onto the floor.

This cop is doing the rounds while playing out his lifelong fantasy of being "Mr. Big dick sheriff". I live in Australia and I would never be such a dick to a suspect if i were a cop, and the citizens DON'T HAVE GUNS HERE. I mean the cop literally tazed the dude while he was looking for his licence, then sprayed him several times in the face, and the suspect had done....what exactly? Refused to exit his vehicle for 10 minutes while expressing concern regarding rights violations....

Slightly unrelated but it's funny how all the Trump voters constantly label Liberal science believers "brainwashed booklickers" etc for "accepting the government and media narrative of climate change" But research actually finds that Republicans are objectively the actual government dick riding hillbillies who are more tolerant of authoritarianism than people on the left. That's obviously why so many of them join the military and become police officers, I would bet a fuck ton of money that dead cowboy copper here voted for Trump

"I wiLLLLL TAZZZZZZZ UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" "You know nothing" famous last words lol. Welp copper was wrong there, suspect clearly knew enough to work his finger around that trigger didn't he

You're a fucking idiot...

[–]AlasMyChildren 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

ouch someone on the internet called me an idiot. please stop this is all too much

[–]jean-claude-van-lee 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Correct, i approve ! One ticket and get the car from him sometime next day in the morning would had been more civil. One cop died, the guy went to jail for something he didn't want to do for sure, but in the heat of the moment he done it, and the other guy got in hospital for several months for what ? For a fucking car ? LOL

[–]PurpleHelmut71 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Is this white privilege? You get to have the first shot?

[–]Cliff_Booth 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

This video was incredible. They gave him like forty chances to peacefully surrender. And refused to get violent. Were they trying to pull his hands toward the end? Lol.

This was definitely white privilege. I would have tased the guy after 30 seconds. It's not complicated. If you drive with an expired license then they tow your car. So get the fuck out of the car.

It's also a counter-argument to the people that want cops to tase first, shoot second. Tasing this guy just pissed him off and made him more likely to attack the cops.

[–]Krehlmar 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

Honestly, I'm not a yank so I don't plan on opinionating on blm, but I mean come the fuck on. Hiding the gun at that area of the seat is what makes cops so paranoid (like shooting that black guy 7 times). Yet they let him sit there and fiddle back and forth for like 5 fucking minutes. Never seen a video of a black man given this much leway.

[–]HopeThatHalps 9 insightful - 5 fun9 insightful - 4 fun10 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

The cops had a legal, and ethical, and moral right to arrest the guy. The cops were never in the wrong, and the shooter was never in the right. Arrest is not conviction, arrest is arrest. Once the cops decide you're going to be arrested, you have no other real choice than to go along with it. This guy will be found guilty of murder, and assuming it was a gun he had under his seat, first degree murder and he will possibly face the death penalty. There's nothing ambiguous about this situation.

As far as taking five minutes of talking before tazing him, who are we to pass judgement? We're not cops. As a non-cop, it seemed like they should have concluded that talking was useless the 4th time the suspect repeated himself like a broken record, but maybe, maybe sometimes, a little more talking works. Suppose they tazed him after 30 seconds, the guy shoots the cops, and now I imagine people would be saying the cops didn't talk enough.

People can say "if the suspect was black, bla bla bla", all you will be doing is adding bias upon more bias. A lot of traffic stops with black people almost certainly involve lots of talking like this too, we just don't see it because it's not news worthy.

[–]FuckheadDK 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Holy fucking shit this is way too reasonable of a response for the internet. What are you, NOT retarded? Can't believe you're using your brain out here. Sheesh.

[–]SlyMalone 8 insightful - 6 fun8 insightful - 5 fun9 insightful - 6 fun -  (6 children)

Congratulations liberal retards, this is what “de-escalation tactics” gets you. They should have fucked that guy up but they didn’t and now one of them is dead.

[–]CockMeatSandwich 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Where was the de-escalation? He asked why do I have to get out and they said because we said so. They dick him around for so long and for what? Anyone else they say go on home but for him it’s a big difference because of an expired tag and paraphernalia history? Gimme a fucking break. De-escalation is letting him go home and towing his car in the morning not waiting 5 minutes to shoot him you retarded fucking hick. They tased him and then he agreed to comply and get out so they mace him and atttack him. They chose to be bullies and got smoked because of it. The gun was only fired because they escalated the situation

[–]wohagav 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I don't know what kind of retard you are, but he never agreed to comply, he never got out of the car, the cops gave him an order, they don't have to explain shit. Their mistake was using tasers and sprays instead of a baton and a real gun.

[–]Fennec 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

1 officer murdered and one in the hospital. Some people say that it's a start.

[–]dwrdclrk 8 insightful - 6 fun8 insightful - 5 fun9 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

How fucked up your country has to be that you cheer the death of people there is to protect you and the people who's job is to protect you has to be on their toes all the time, because anyone might pull a gun on them.

[–]Orc_ 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Fucked up as in ready for civil war and total collapse.

Distrust in law enforcement is a prelude to that, no country has ever survived it.

[–]RedditSaidit 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Sounds like women arguing. How many last chances did that Sergeant give him?

[–]RedditSaidit 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Do police not carry batons anymore? Or does the female Captain say they can't crack idiots over the head?

[–]Callmesavior 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

These dirty cops should be fucked.

[–]Branflakes143 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Laughing my ass off at some of these comments. "Liberal retards"

Nah man, this is what happens when cops are too nice to white people. Guaran-fucking-tee you that if the perp was black, they wouldn't have been as nice as they were (Probably would have shot him when he grabbed his wallet). This guy doesn't have tags, a license, or insurance, and the cops spend like 6 minutes dicking around and asking him to get out of the car instead of tasing him as soon as he refused.

And yes, to those "oH JUsT gIvE hIM A tIcKeT" sarcastic comments, they probably could have done just that. Give the guy a ticket for the traffic infraction, and then tow his car later when he gets home.

[–]wohagav 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They should treat white and black alike, don't comply, get fucked.

The guy with the body cam is the one who died.
