It looks like the parachute that was supposed to deploy detached right at launch.

So dare devils deserve Darwin awards before their dead, is what I'm hearing.

I'd like to see some extended before and after footage of this not-so-disturbing incident.

He's done this type of stunt several times before. The videos are on youtube. Just search for Mad Mike Hughes.

The Earth is definitely flatter now after that crash, such a shame that he died trying to prove an insane theory already known to be false.

RIP Mike, you lived a wild life right to the end ...

From his Wiki page: Following Hughes' death, Darren Shuster, his public relations representative, stated: "We used flat Earth as a PR stunt... Flat Earth allowed us to get so much publicity that we kept going! I know he didn’t believe in flat Earth and it was a schtick." But who knows!

I think the flat earth talk was just his way of turning back the clock a hundred and fifty years, to a time when steam engines were relevant and rockets were novel.

And a time when parachutes didn’t exist.

Anybody got other video on this? Looks like there's a drone out there.

R.I.P to this dude but what the hell was he thinking? This was basically just suicide with extra steps. Did he really think he’d prove the earth was flat by sending himself 1000 feet in the air? You could’ve stood on the Empire State Building for the same result.

Jesus fuck, I don't see any way this could have ended well at all.
