Were those two guys really friends? Whoever was the friend of the guy in green jacket, he definitely used his buddy as a meat shield. Just look at those two guys who literally held the guy in green jacket to use him as cover. I guess if ever there's a shooting, it's best to get away from people because they'll probably use you as a meat shield, especially when you're in front of them..

You don't think about stuff like that when you're panicking. Same if you're drowning, you're gonna grab whatever you can even if it's your best friend and you're pulling him under. Lifeguards don't try to grab people who are drowning for this reason, they have a floating device for them to grab.

It's from a life time on the streets, their survival instinct is insanely strong. Much higher than a normal person's.

Info:

Officials identified two men who were killed last week in a quadruple shooting in the Washington Park neighborhood on the city's South Side.

They were identified as Jawon C. Carter, 24, of the 1400 block of East 65th Street, and Lavelle Cox, 24, of the 4300 block of South Dearborn Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Just before 2 a.m. Friday, Carter and Cox along with two other men were in the vestibule of the GoLo gas station at 51st Street and Indiana Avenue when someone ran from a nearby car, opened the bulletproof front door and fired more than a dozen shots inside, sources said.

The men had no way to escape the gunfire because the entryway into the convenience store is locked at night.

Cox was shot multiple times and he was pronounced dead inside the vestibule at 2:55 a.m. Friday, according to the medical examiner's office.

Carter also was shot multiple times, and he was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m. Friday at Stroger Hospital. Their deaths were ruled homicides.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the legs and grazed in the head. He was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital. A 64-year-old man who is known in the area as Old Man Bill was shot in the leg, and he was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Old Man Bill knows what's up. He got down and hid in the corner away from the door.

Old man bill was shot in that exact same gas station years before.

It’s in this story about the shooting. https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc7chicago.com/amp/1794122

I think once would be enough for me. I don't think I'd go back there AFTER I WAS SHOT THERE THE FIRST TIME.

How many times has this man been shot?!?

Where is the Kickstarter to get Bill a one way ticket out of Chicago?

Probably some crappy gun with shit ammo.

Depends on the gun and the ammo. Hollow point bullets slow down in flesh really quickly, dumping all of their kinetic energy and not over-penetrating. Round nosed FMJ bullets will penetrate a lot further but leave a less traumatic wound channel.

Depends on the bullet type.

Shooter most likely used hollow points that mushroom out (expand) as they pass through soft tissue, maximizing damage.

The expansion slows the bullet, which means it doesn't overpenetrate its target.

If he had used a full metal jacket round, which doesn't expand as much, it might've been a different story.

That one is hellish , like seriusly, all of a sudden dropping dead like flies out of nowhere, where 1 guy is holding his friend's hair pulled , to cover himself from the shots . A truly human shield !
