staying silent = tacit support

some do vocally oppose it and deserve full credit

Well, we're all humans, and we're all tacitly supporting every misdoing of the human race by not speaking out against it. So we're all to blame, in that sense.

Every US and Israeli taxpayer is also directly tacitly supporting this, are they not?

But this article is about people saying they disagree with it, so let's not blame those people right now. Because they literally are speaking out against it, or else the poll wouldn't have had the result it did.

My jury is still out on everyone (grin). I don't accept, or deny any group, as it seems like every group has a healthy amount of crap to culminate up to the top.

Having that said though, and on the Jewish issue. I know for every issue they appear to singlevhandedly push, usually they're leading the opposition as well.

I can make assumptions based off of this, as can anyone else, but don't. On that note though, I guess the folks in any opposition that claim to be part of the Jews, or any other group(like cops), should be able to put their feet to the fire/test, and give some answers. After all, if they feel the need to be in any 'opposition', but still maintain their outward allegiance with any other group, they are in essence advertising 'we're all like I am'; which can be taken for a 'sell'....selling themselves to promote a different agenda.

The fact is, our world obviously has turmoil, wars, and all that goes along with them like psychological operations. I don't think people really get the depth of how far, and in what shapes this can occur; hell I'm always guessing.

Keep true to you, and yours.

Here's a progressive solution to that problem: end the human race

[–]magnora7[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's not progressive, that's regressive and simplistic

Sawboss isn't human. He's a Russian bot cyborg from the future, and he's here to usher in Armageddon.
He's a cyborg usher.

[–]sawboss 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

No. My solution is perfectly in keeping with progressive thought.

Are you suggesting that malthusian philosophy is progressive?

[–]sawboss 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'm suggesting that the implicit goal of "progressives" is the destruction of all humanity beginning with America. After all, that's the only way to have a truly just world.

In your opinion: Does the political term progressive have the same meaning in today's politics, as progressivism originally did in the 1890's?

Where do you see productive political activity occurring today?

In your opinion: Does the political term progressive have the same meaning in today's politics, as progressivism originally did in the 1890's?

No.

Where do you see productive political activity occurring today?

Not in progressive circles, where the entire goal is to destroy.

Not in conservative circles, where resistance to change amounts to no productive activity, aside from the usual.

Not in libertarian circles, because they're not yet able to break power of fascism. Maybe some day, though the potential destructive effects of anarchy are quite worrisome.

Fascism is where all the money and power is concentrated now, and has been since (my guess) the early 20th century. It seeks increased concentration of wealth and power, and to that end might be called "productive".

No matter how I look at it, the way we currently do politics can not be "productive". Until people wake up to the true paradigm there's not much hope for anything but destruction. At best we can seek to limit the harm by constraining the fascism.

Staying silent was the least-worst option for those who weren't interested in WW2 refugees, which isn't noble.
However, it is understandable.

It's akin to the nonracist white population in the South who didn't vocally oppose racism. It's not so easy to condemn your own community.
Let's not also forget that there was plenty of overt racist support in the North, as well...

I'm not attempting to make excuses for any group.
However, it's more difficult to openly discuss social problems with someone who doesn't openly state that they understand your social predicament. It's generally the first step to progress. Neutral engagement.

What's wrong with Zionism?

There are multiple forms of Zionism. There are good Zionists and bad Zionists. But I'm absolutely in favor of Jews having their own homeland with autonomy, as all people should.

Zionism desires the displacement of Palestinians, invasion of iraq, syria, and Iran.

The problem with Zionism is it requires war to get what it wants. It's an evil ideology that is inhumane and desires the destruction of those who disagree.

If that isn't evil, then I don't know what is.

I'm fine with a 2-state solution too, but Israel has proven it cannot respect the existing borders, and is continually expanding in to the Golan heights, shrinking the gaza strip with ever-smaller "buffer zones" and making swiss cheese of the west bank with illegal settlements designed to displace the existing population.

It's hard to look at all the actions that result from this ideology and not see it as evil.

If Israel would stay within its borders, I would have no problem with it. But Zionism as it exists in 2019 it's an ideology of greed, conquest, hatred, ego, and selfishness. I see no reason to defend it because it is causing lots of suffering, war, and pain among the "undesirables" of Iraq, Syria, Palestine, and Iran. None of these wars would be happening without the influence of modern zionism.

Who cares. Knock down the Dome of the Rock with a wrecking ball and let the Jews build their temple there. I don't give a lick about the palestinians nor any muslim.

I care, it's not okay to displace a people just because you're a warmonger... how is that not obvious

[–]Tom_Bombadil 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I second this.

[–]useless_aether 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

imo zionism is fundamentally antisemite (or lets just say anti jew). the movement was created not by orthodox, traditional jews, but the illuminati controlled powers after the french revolution, during and after napoleon, when it was obvious they wouldnt assimilate (dreyfus affair was created for this purpose). so it was decided its better to force them out worldwide from everywhere into palestine.

labor zionism for example was not happy with the jews as they are and they wanted to create a new, secular (godless) jew, pretty much how hitlers nazis wanted to create the ubermensch. the holocaust itself was aimed at the religious jews, while nazi germany transferred many reeducated labor zionist jews to palestine where they would build a secular society. the same forces still work today with the same agenda.

i have a very strong feeling that the normal, traditional jews in the diaspora will be blamed/punished for all the evil the zionist israeli govt is doing .

Well, I have friends whose rabbi was Meir Kahane, so my version of Zionism is a bit different.

[–]useless_aether 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

it looks to me that he was an orthodox rabbi, promoting judaism and a nationalist, the very same kind of jew labor zionist and those behind them are eradicating. hence his tragic fate. yes, he was a zionist, but the very very wrong type of zionist from the perspective of the powers that shouldnt be.

Also, Ashkenazim have a much higher average IQ than Arabs and even the theocracy envisioned by ultra-Orthodox squatters isn't as dystopian as what the Muslim theocrats want.

Palestine was functionally secular.

btw https://canarymission.org/organization/Mondoweiss

Contributors run the gamut from extreme-leftist Israelis, to some mainstream Israelis who have tried to argue a more balanced viewpoint with the local contributors. The more centrist contributors rarely stay, since debate and centricity are not valued in the Mondoweiss community.

Uh huh, and let me guess who runs canarymission.org. Zionists perhaps?

Canary Mission documents individuals and organizations that promote hatred of the USA, Israel and Jews on North American college campuses

What do you know. People defending warmongers, have a problem with people who call out said warmongers. I am so surprised. /s

It's evidence that extreme members use extremist methods; regardless of their alleged philosophy.

The Nazis were "socialist", but they were also breaking up unions, so the use of the term was inverted, and fraudulent..

Similarly, the Torah teaches that the Jewish people should never again have a land of their own.
This suggests that the Zionists are Jewish, in the same way that Nazis are socialists.

The only reason big evil can exist is if it convinces good people that it cannot be questioned.
