The EU should have invested trillions into fission, fusion, and having its own solar industry (not one dependent on China). I know there's some production, but it's tiny.

In a similar way, China being all militaristic about Taiwan is also retarded. If you don't have EUV-technology and are behind 30-40 years in military technology, how do you plan to win the next war? It would have been much smarter for China to just operate peacefully for another 100 years and only when there would be complete economic dominance to assert power, if they can, because typically in such economic models, there's less innovation.
