People accepted rationing and shortages during WW2 because they didn't really know any better. Try that shit today and you commit political suicide. The only reason we want to keep Taiwan around is for their computer chips and manufacturing.

And when will China stop, how is a war in 10 or 20 years going to be better once they've encroached on all the territory we were unwilling to challenge them over.
