I think this is good. Trump is trying to stop invasions of Syria by appointing new heads to the DoD and many other heads of agencies which were just fired days ago. I think he sees he's going to leave the white house and is trying to set up anti-war contingency plans.

It's late, he had 4 years to do this and he's only doing it now because he's leaving. That suggests he couldn't go against the American war machine and reasonably expect a chance at a second term, which doesn't bode well for anyone especially with Biden's military industrialist support. Trump was anti-war and he couldn't do anything except this Hail Mary, what are we going to get with Biden?
