Was it a year ago, people were talking about the collapse of insects. It follows that the collapse of the food chain would lead to people hoarding and rioting. And blaming.

I believe us humans are resourceful, and will likely overcome whichever wrench nature throws into our gears.

The Malthusian catastrophe didn't happen.

Markets send signals through prices. Too little food? Price goes up, and more humans start working on the problem, profiting from the opportunity, and helping the rest of us in the process.

The Malthusian catastrophe didn't happen.

You're absolutely right.

Unfortunately, they're aggressively trying to create one now with the current Plandemic.

Much in the same way they fake global warming.

This is another NWO Agenda 21 PsyOp.

Pandemics are caused by factory farming

The recent Plandemics (Ebola and Novel Corona Virus) were supposedly the result of people eating bats, and pigs.

Bats are a common scapegoat for disease outbreaks.
I've yet to see factory farming of bats (which is an interesting idea), so the theory is flawed from the start.

Here's a post I submitted a while back which suggests there were some interesting cracks in the Ebolie...

Then there's Swine Flu #1, which was staged in 1976. It was determined to be a hoax.
Ron Paul Swine Flu Scare hoax like 1976 (2009).
The flu killed 1 person in 1976.
The vaccine killed 25 people, and injured many more.
Pres Ford even took the hoax vaccine.
V.P. Rockefeller declined.

Swine flu #2 was proven a hoax in 2009/2010 by none other than CBS.

Also, the EU health group literally called it out as a hoax.

New China virus, Swine Flu hoax, history matters (Jan 25 2020)

At the time, star CBS investigative reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, was working on a Swine Flu story. She discovered that the CDC had secretly stopped counting US cases of the illness—while, of course, continuing to warn Americans about its unchecked spread.

...

In the summer of 2009, *the CDC secretly stops counting Swine Flu cases in America, because the overwhelming percentage of lab tests from likely Swine Flu patients shows no sign of Swine Flu or any other kind of flu. *

There is no Swine Flu epidemic.

Then, the CDC estimates there are 22 MILLION cases of Swine Flu in the US.

So…the premise that the CDC would never lie about important matters like, oh, a vaccine causing autism…you can lay that one to rest.

The CDC will lie about anything it wants to. It will boldly go where no person interested in real science will go.

Obviously, this may be a lot to take in; given the current media hysteria.

However...

There's a strong case to be made that THE LEADING CAUSE OF PANDEMICS, IS HOAXES.

Just saying...

the result of people eating bats, and pigs.

Where did you see that claim? In the documentary (about previous viruses), many evolved in factory farms. But for the 2019 coronavirus, people didn't need to actually eat bats. Bats may have come into contact with the pigs, and only later the pigs with the humans (unsafe cooking).

Bats are a common scapegoat

Yes, because bats live with lots of viruses, many without becoming ill, so they act as great breeding reservoirs.

factory farming of bats

You are wasting my time

1976 hoax

A suppressed outbreak is indistinguishable from one dying out naturally. Just because Ron Paul says it's a hoax doesn't mean it's true.

"Richard Krause, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1975 to 1984, writes that the government response to the swine flu outbreak was considered to be too fast and the response to the AIDS epidemic too slow."

2009 hoax

Dozens of people even in Romania (where I'm from) died of this strain even this year. Luckily it's no more deadly than regular flu (0.1%-ish). Just because it's not more lethal than other flus doens't mean it's not an additional way to die. Blown up by the media, sure, but not a hoax.

I feel the current response to the pandemic is inadequate in the US. You guys have no public health. Your insurance companies are not interested in epidemic prevention. Will they pay up when businesses run on empty? When hospitals overflow?

Well, this time, the authorities underreacted. Have fun with your hoax.

Citing Wikipedia and Fox News? These sources are functionally worthless, and have zero credibility.

The sources you are citing are hoax accomplices.

Ron Paul is a physician and was a congressman during both swine hoaxes, and he calls it out as such.

CBS is generally a hoax accomplice, but they have some honest reporters.

Corporate CBS suppressed the story, but an honest reporter shared it anyway, because it is the truth.

The reporting on the CDC was damning, and further demonstrates that the CDC has zero credibility.

They are the primary swine flu hoaxters. They are now spearheading the Corona hoax PsyOp.

Who do you want me to cite?

Edit: Other than Ron Paul.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Very few sources are consistently reliable.

Reporting the actual facts should not conflict with the sources interests.

Are you familiar with Chomsky and Hermann's propaganda model theory of media?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_model (Wikipedia is not a great source for this, but for the sake of convenience)

Acceptance of the basic premise of this model is the first step to be identifying a credible source.

Here's Russia Today, an institution created to undermine public trust in US institutions, acknowledging the problem.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I like RT. They have better US reporting than most.

I'm inclined to question their reporting on Russia.

I like them too. They offer a contrarian view of Europe also.

Is Zero Hedge - 1 in on the prank also? and 2

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

They could be. Or maybe they're citing the same misinformed sources.

/U/Jesus linked to this earlier. https://invidio.us/watch?v=82qsclco1Oo

It's reported from the UK, and they have identified some interesting inconsistencies between the factual data, and the narrative.

Please watch this and let me know what you think.

[–]danuker[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

What do you think is likelier, that your favorite politician is wrong, or that the rest of the world is making everything up?

About the video from the UK: They start the video with a claim allegedly made by "Public Health England" that Covid-19 is allegedly no longer a high-consequence infectious disease.

Well here is the first Google result on "Public Health England". They ask you to wash your hands, stay away from any other people, and only go out for food, health or work reasons.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/high-consequence-infectious-diseases-hcid

Status of COVID-19.

As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseases (HCID) in the UK.

The 4 nations public health HCID group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID. This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test, the availability of which continues to increase.

[–]danuker[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So the first claim in the video was technically true (the best kind of true).

I'm not gonna bother checking more than this however, since it makes no difference to what I can influence.

[–]danuker[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I like to think I am skeptical of authority as well. But "public health" is smack in the middle of authority territory. By definition, it oversees public health, not YOUR health.

You may not suffer much if you get the disease, but you'll infect others.

Right now, even that authority is sacrificing the economy using severe measures, and at the same time trying to save it using record-breaking money-printing.

This is why I believe the people in power (the ones printing money) were forced to accept the severe measures.

Watch that video to the end, and focus on the data that's reported from multiple EU countries.

The media hype fueled the entire charade. The casualties are less than the common flu.

The media "wagged the dog"... :-/

I watched some more.

  1. Article at 7:08 shows a death rate of 68000/5290000 ~= 1.2%. But Italy's CoV-19 death rate is over 10023/92472 = 10.8%, almost 10 times as deadly.
  2. What they don't show from the WHO article at 07:55:

Mortality for COVID-19 appears higher than for influenza, especially seasonal influenza. While the true mortality of COVID-19 will take some time to fully understand, the data we have so far indicate that the crude mortality ratio (the number of reported deaths divided by the reported cases) is between 3-4%, the infection mortality rate (the number of reported deaths divided by the number of infections) will be lower. For seasonal influenza, mortality is usually well below 0.1%. However, mortality is to a large extent determined by access to and quality of health care.

  3. I don't care anymore. I don't want to combat you the rest of my evening.

[–]fred_red_beans 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The CDC uses an additional 36 million estimated cases for seasonal flu.

22,000 deaths from flu divided by 222,000 confirmed flu cases equals a 10% death rate for seasonal flu.

vs

22,000 deaths from flu divided by 222,000 confirmed flu cases PLUS 36,000,000 estimated flu cases equals 0.1% (actually 0.06%)

So, for Covid-19

8,272 deaths from coronavirus divided by 206,845 confirmed cases equals a 4% death rate

But this does not take any additional estimated cases into account. By these numbers it appears that Covid-19 is 40% as deadly as seasonal flu.
