By the way, yes. I also very often notice the hate towards vegetarians and especially vegans. I understand that there may be different opinions and different reasons to adhere to this way of life. For example, perhaps someone is against cruelty towards animals, someone does not eat animal products, and someone else has many other reasons. And it is probably normal that someone else does not accept this and lives by their own standards, but for some reason decides that he has the right to condemn ...

You just can't stop telling the world how morally superior you are. That's why vegans get such pushback: their self-perceived moral superiority enables them to scorn others, and when those others scorn back, it is received with genuine outrage. How dare the peasants criticize the nobility? Dirty deplorables!

Come on, dude

How do you tell if someone is a vegan? Don't worry, they'll tell you.

I am NOT even vegan dude nor did I "tell you" that, lmao, take your head out of your own ass for a second, please!! On another note, how do you tell if someone's a meat eater? LOL. I back up my claim with evidence and you bat it aside like it doesn't exist.

You didn't "back up" your claim. You said vegans posted hate and it's why society treats them badly, yet your evidence of that is one (1) post of some random notes that could have been written by anyone (an internet troll, for example) and even if they were written by an actual vegan, where's the context of that? What if the vegan in question took in a friend into their home and set some ground rules, is it really so outrageous to not want meat in your plant based household? I don't think so.

You seriously are not aware of the moral superiority of vegans? They don't eat meat, while the rest of us force animals to suffer? You don't see how that qualifies them to not only look down on us, but shit all over us every chance they get? You haven't seen it? I find it unbelievable.

I don't rape people - does that automatically make me morally superior to rapists? - in my opinion, yes. Do I "shit on them every chance I get"? No. Do you know why? Because I don't spend most of my day thinking about abusers and comparing myself to them. I have a life of my own that doesn't revolve around rapists and their lives. You sound like you carry some guilt around eating animal products and are extremely insecure when confronted with vegans who - in your own words - are morally superior. They informed themselves on the subjects of factory farming, climate change and the ethics of eating sentient beings and made a tough but much needed change in their lives & on the other hand there's you who clearly wouldn't be able to commit to such a change and instead of asking yourself why or just moving on with your life you feel the need to put down the people who make you insecure about continuing to support animal abuse.

From my personal experience with the many meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans I know, meat eaters instigate 100% of the arguments about the different diets/moral stances of vegans and vegetarians, their ""arguments"" are usually weak and ignorant like "I couldn't give up meat", "how do you get your protein", "soy makes you feminine" etc. Vegans and vegetarians are a huge minority and they can sure as hell read the room and know they won't have a good discussion in an enviorenment of otherwise 100% meat eaters. Changing someone's mind on something they have literally been doing for their entire lives is close to impossible and generally a waste of time, which is why 99% of the time vegans and vegetarians just keep to themselves and don't bring up their different lifestyle to people who aren't openly interested to changing their own minds or at least open to a have a healthy debate.

Sure it is! As morally superior humans, vegans are quite rightfully able - nay, obligated to look down on lesser humans and tell them their disgust. A typical example: https://imgur.com/a/pYyY6d8

No currently living person is morally acceptable. People who aren’t activists reorienting their entire lives around acknowledging and combatting the evils of the world aren’t even on the scale. And people who are such activists are (in the words of one of my friends who is close to that community) "only making comfortable sacrifices that let them think of themselves as a good person within their existing comfortable moral paradigm, instead of confronting the raw terrible truth." IE "If you think you’re one of the good ones, you’re wrong".

The average meat-eater isn’t even on the scale. The average vegetarian still eats milk and cheese, and so is barely even trying. Even most vegans probably use some medical product with gelatin, or something tested on lab rats, or are just benefiting from animal suffering in some indirect way.

The CDC uses an additional 36 million estimated cases for seasonal flu.

22,000 deaths from flu divided by 222,000 confirmed flu cases equals a 10% death rate for seasonal flu.

vs

22,000 deaths from flu divided by 222,000 confirmed flu cases PLUS 36,000,000 estimated flu cases equals 0.1% (actually 0.06%)

So, for Covid-19

8,272 deaths from coronavirus divided by 206,845 confirmed cases equals a 4% death rate

But this does not take any additional estimated cases into account. By these numbers it appears that Covid-19 is 40% as deadly as seasonal flu.

I watched some more.

  1. Article at 7:08 shows a death rate of 68000/5290000 ~= 1.2%. But Italy's CoV-19 death rate is over 10023/92472 = 10.8%, almost 10 times as deadly.
  2. What they don't show from the WHO article at 07:55:

Mortality for COVID-19 appears higher than for influenza, especially seasonal influenza. While the true mortality of COVID-19 will take some time to fully understand, the data we have so far indicate that the crude mortality ratio (the number of reported deaths divided by the reported cases) is between 3-4%, the infection mortality rate (the number of reported deaths divided by the number of infections) will be lower. For seasonal influenza, mortality is usually well below 0.1%. However, mortality is to a large extent determined by access to and quality of health care.

  3. I don't care anymore. I don't want to combat you the rest of my evening.

Status of COVID-19.

As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseases (HCID) in the UK.

The 4 nations public health HCID group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID. This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test, the availability of which continues to increase.

the result of people eating bats, and pigs.

Where did you see that claim? In the documentary (about previous viruses), many evolved in factory farms. But for the 2019 coronavirus, people didn't need to actually eat bats. Bats may have come into contact with the pigs, and only later the pigs with the humans (unsafe cooking).

Bats are a common scapegoat

Yes, because bats live with lots of viruses, many without becoming ill, so they act as great breeding reservoirs.

factory farming of bats

You are wasting my time

1976 hoax

A suppressed outbreak is indistinguishable from one dying out naturally. Just because Ron Paul says it's a hoax doesn't mean it's true.

"Richard Krause, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1975 to 1984, writes that the government response to the swine flu outbreak was considered to be too fast and the response to the AIDS epidemic too slow."

2009 hoax

Dozens of people even in Romania (where I'm from) died of this strain even this year. Luckily it's no more deadly than regular flu (0.1%-ish). Just because it's not more lethal than other flus doens't mean it's not an additional way to die. Blown up by the media, sure, but not a hoax.

I feel the current response to the pandemic is inadequate in the US. You guys have no public health. Your insurance companies are not interested in epidemic prevention. Will they pay up when businesses run on empty? When hospitals overflow?

Well, this time, the authorities underreacted. Have fun with your hoax.

Pandemics are caused by factory farming

The recent Plandemics (Ebola and Novel Corona Virus) were supposedly the result of people eating bats, and pigs.

Bats are a common scapegoat for disease outbreaks.
I've yet to see factory farming of bats (which is an interesting idea), so the theory is flawed from the start.

Here's a post I submitted a while back which suggests there were some interesting cracks in the Ebolie...
https://saidit.net/s/conspiracyundone/comments/3375/meet_richard_e_besser_former_cdc_director_and/

Then there's Swine Flu #1, which was staged in 1976. It was determined to be a hoax.
Ron Paul Swine Flu Scare hoax like 1976 (2009).
The flu killed 1 person in 1976.
The vaccine killed 25 people, and injured many more.
Pres Ford even took the hoax vaccine.
V.P. Rockefeller declined.

Swine flu #2 was proven a hoax in 2009/2010 by none other than CBS.

Also, the EU health group literally called it out as a hoax.

New China virus, Swine Flu hoax, history matters (Jan 25 2020)

At the time, star CBS investigative reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, was working on a Swine Flu story. She discovered that the CDC had secretly stopped counting US cases of the illness—while, of course, continuing to warn Americans about its unchecked spread.

...

In the summer of 2009, *the CDC secretly stops counting Swine Flu cases in America, because the overwhelming percentage of lab tests from likely Swine Flu patients shows no sign of Swine Flu or any other kind of flu. *

There is no Swine Flu epidemic.

Then, the CDC estimates there are 22 MILLION cases of Swine Flu in the US.

So…the premise that the CDC would never lie about important matters like, oh, a vaccine causing autism…you can lay that one to rest.

The CDC will lie about anything it wants to. It will boldly go where no person interested in real science will go.

Obviously, this may be a lot to take in; given the current media hysteria.

However...

There's a strong case to be made that THE LEADING CAUSE OF PANDEMICS, IS HOAXES.

Just saying...

There's many reasons why you individually could have felt bad which are reactions to things you were eating (and how you were eating them.)

But if you get on a cow/pig guts diet you are guaranteed to be on an unhealthy diet.

hi i'm ex 6.5 year vegan.

There's many reasons you could have felt sick and then switched diets and felt better- it's unfair to assume that whatever made you feel worse was plant protein.

Let's break down some animal protein myths, in a few parts"

You've probably heard protein described only as good & healthy.

YSK high protein = more cancer.

  • "High-Protein Diet Raises Cancer Risk As Much As Smoking. People who eat a high-protein diet during middle age are more likely to die of cancer than those who eat less protein, a new study finds"

https://www.livescience.com/43839-too-much-protein-help-cancers-grow.html

There's lots of complete protein plants.

A few plants with complete protein include:

And so on. There's lots of rare grains that have complete protein.

Similarly:

  • "If you swap all that animal protein for an equally diverse diet of plant-based proteins like nuts, seeds, and beans, you are no worse off. That's because these foods are also packed full of a similar spectrum of nutrients."

https://www.popsci.com/plant-protein-healthier/

In other words, if you felt you lacked complete protein (as a vegetarian) the only way you could have done that is avoiding examples like the above- avoiding a balanced diet.

Next, plant protein is healthier:

  • "Plant protein has more nutrients and fiber... pound-for-pound, they pack more nutrients into fewer calories. They also have one thing that animal proteins completely lack: fiber. (Except for things like tofu, which is processed, Giancoli notes.) Let’s not forget the fiber. Fiber aids in digestion, promotes a healthy gut microbiome, and is strongly associated with lower cardiovascular disease risk."

https://www.popsci.com/plant-protein-healthier/

  • "One recent such analysis in the Journal of the American Medical Association noted that "Substitution of plant protein for animal protein, especially from processed red meat, may confer a substantial health benefit" and advised that policies promote plant proteins."

https://www.popsci.com/plant-protein-healthier/

I'm sure (if you're against vegetables) that you've seen lots of "studies" saying saturated fat isn't unhealthy, these studies are misleading. They are comparing random food (eg cake) to saturated fat instead of healthier fats and complex carbohydrates:

The Australian Heart Foundation:

"Is saturated fat healthy now?

What has fuelled much of the interest in fat are studies which find that saturated fat is not associated with heart disease. And if there is no association, then saturated fat must be healthy, right? But is this really the case?

The short answer is ‘no’. Reducing saturated fat alone, without considering what it is replaced with may not be beneficial and doesn’t tell the whole story...

Evidence demonstrates that reducing saturated fat and replacing it with unsaturated fat improves cardiovascular risk factors and reduces the risk of heart disease. Next, replacing it with wholegrains improves some cardiovascular risk factors and reduces the risk of heart disease but not to the same extent as unsaturated fat. Next, replacing it with refined carbohydrate does not improve cardiovascular risk and does not reduce the risk of heart disease."

Eskimos:

Similarly, YSK Eskimos have high rates of cardiovascular disease. And they always have- even hundreds of years ago - which we know because frozen bodies found of eskimo people had cardiovascular disease.

Low carb diets are sick in like every way.

Low carb diets are linked to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc compared to vegans:

ScienceAlert.com:

Researchers who presented at that conference studied the self-reported eating patterns of nearly 25,000 people in the US and compared their results with studies involving more than 447,500 people.

Again, they found that those who ate a moderate amount of carbohydrates were more likely to live longer than either low-carb or high-carb dieters.

Our study suggests that in the long-term, [low-carb diets] are linked with an increased risk of death from any cause, and deaths due to cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and cancer," Maciej Banach, a professor at the Medical University of Lodz in Poland who helped write the study, said in a release."

Cyrus Khambatta: (Nutritional Biochemist PhD)

“There are a whole host of studies now showing that people who eat low carbohydrate diets, diets that are high in meat especially processed meat over a long period of time from 5 years, to anywhere to 15 years, end up suffering increase risk from chronic diseases, like hypertension, high cholesterol (atherosclerosis risk) chronic kidney disease, hypothyroidism, cognitive decline (risk for Alzheimer’s/dementia) later In life, insulin resistance, diabetes, cancer, you name it.”

Diabetes:

The people most likely to recover and avoid diabetes are people on low fat diets with lots of starches, eg rice like the Japanese.

The study mentioned here was published by the American Diabetes Association, showing that low fat diets (despite eating rice, carbs, sugars, etc) reduce diabetes. This is essentially just doing what Japan has been doing for many decades where they have some of the lowest diabetes rates in the world.

Dairy:

Similarly, we were all told we need dairy. (eg for bone health and so on.) YSK many asians never consume it and are fine.

Similarly, the Canadian government is now promoting plant based proteins and they no longer consider dairy as a healthy food group.

Lost benefits:

Consider the endless studies linking plants to good health. eg:

  • "People who eat diets that are high in fiber have lower risk of death and chronic diseases such as stroke or cancer compared with people with low fiber intake, a new analysis found." [1]

pls try to understan that vegan is an agenda not sure whose but they are not good people.

Wow, vegans are "not good people."

hi i'm ex 6.5 year vegan.

humans do need animal protein i'm sorry to say. this meme still breaks my heart tho.

but its important to not fall for the vegan propaganda - unnessacaty animal cruelty should not be conflaited with the vegan movement. it ultimatly sets the movement back. the truth is that we need to eat a lot less meat and more plants. and the truth is all that should matter.

i wrecked my health falling for the propaganda... pls try to understan that vegan is an agenda not sure whose but they are not good people.

peace yall
