I just read the original research paper. It does not say anything of the sort. That article is bunk and the authors should be ashamed to publish such garbage.

The British research they claim to be reporting on is here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8175044/

What they actually said is the amount of neutralizing antibodies produced by the Pfizer vaccine against the variants of concern were significantly less than the amount produced against the original strain they call the Wild-type.

Specifically they said;

  1. The amount of neutralizing antibodies produced against B.1.617.2 variant were 5.8-fold less than the amount produced against the original strain.

  2. The amount of neutralizing antibodies produced by the Pfizer vaccine against the B.1.1.7 variant were 2.6-fold less than the amount produced against the original strain.

  3. The amount of neutralizing antibodies produced by the Pfizer vaccine against the B.1.351 variant were 4.9-fold less than the amount produced against the original strain.

  4. The reduced levels of neutralizing antibodies produced against those variants correlated with the age of the patient.

Since 2020, I consider all science garbage.
The tests are garbage to begin with.
I also strongly doubt whether these "variants" exist.

I welcome a friendly discussion and skepticism, no need for "shaming".
