I use the word "Material Plane" as a metaphor of this thread.
The start of this thread is the news of arson attack at Kyoto Animation studio.
Many, many people, you think they are alive in this plane, but you are absolutely wrong, they are not alive in the world you live.
People called them addicted video games and addicted to anime/comic books. But I think they didn't figure out using better words to describe them. It should be "they don't want to alive in this material plane, they live in another planes". They want to live in a place better, and that place is absolutely not here.
I know many cases of video games addicted people injured their own families since their families tried to stop them to playing those games. Most people think they are crazy, but lack of people speak for what the criminals think:
They are living without hope, if they go to die , there is no regret in this plane. This material plane means nothing to them, they are walking deaths in here. The only reason they didn't suicide is this plane provide food and air only, let them living in a better plane. They are empty shells. If someone tries to stop them living in a better place, that's their last fight.
(ACGN = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACG_(subculture))
The ACGN community is very horrible. I liked a small part of these stuff but I never into the community, I wrote a fanfic of a game recently, and they name-calling and threaten me for the "why don't make it NC-17(erotic)? reason".(And I know many cases they threaten the writer for the erotic parts they feel they dislike.)
(The news of Kyoani receive threatening letters)
The whole community feels no guilt for sending threatening letters to animation studios because poor quality of production and the plots they feel they dislike. They often feels the animators ruin their world/fantasy for create something they dislike: for example, the female lead get married suddenly. Since they live in another plane, they can't feel the law and morality in this plane.
And there are so many ACGN stories (mostly), are supporting a same thought: Don't living in here , you have nothing to nostalgia and obsession in HERE, enter to a place better. You folks can get it from these lyrics.
Google "寄刀片"(in Chinese) and "脅迫メール"(in japanese) , you can find many results about these events as well. And the "suspect" of arson attack at Kyoto Animation studio said "plagiarized his work".
The definition of "plagiarize" is very blurred in this community, mostly they just found their works are a little slimier with others , but that person got more "likes" on social media for the work. They dislike someone around them but more beloved.
What a group of mentals.
I think someone might go to saying "I want to kill you" here, but just don't waste your time, I am the mod of this sub. I am quite sure someone is going to say "not everyone loves these stuff are acting like that", but they create another plane to make the whole community feels no moral issues for sending threaten letters because they make the desensitization.
The civilization , is very very fragile actually. I love to use Wooden Bucket Theory to describe civilization. The shortest wooden bar is the that 無敵の人(the person who have nothing to lose). Therefore, we can find a common moral dogma in many civilizations: love each other, this is the only way civilization can survive. I guess, if there are better civilization in other side of the stars, don't attack each other, don't treat others terribly should be their first rule.
