I'd take it but that's not far off my weekly wage so I'd keep working.

The problem is the people who come to rely on it (which won't just be the unemployed but also those who always increase their spending in line with their earnings) will then be forced to vote for the parties who promise to keep it in place forever, they will have to behave how they government wants them to and support the whole system (which the left tell us is evil, racist and oppressive).

    If you get free resources, why would you work for the resources.

    A person may putz around, but you would need some system in place to make it work, and you’d have to exclude people who just take advantage of the system, which would be an extremely large number of people.

    That's practically more than an average wage once you factor in transport, food expenses and various tax additions.
