It's a self-reported study, I'm not sure how much you can trust those things. I'd probably answer I don't have as much nutritious food as I'd like. There has been a pinch in grocery shopping.
But do I truly not get enough food? It's pretty apparent weight-wise I am not lacking for food.
I wonder too if the survey skewed towards low incomes households. https://www.urban.org/research/publication/inflation-squeezed-family-budgets-food-insecurity-increased-between-2021-and-2022 seems a little light on details.
