Why do they need to frame it as "Christian beliefs" ? It's so "God damn" annoying that we can't simply say common sense. Christian beliefs implies this is in par with religious "truth" like you can't sit on the same chair as your wife after she had a period.

Common sense comes ultimately from religion

Legal maneuvering and probably a consequence that fear of hellfire is probably one of the more common reasons why someone would risk their life and career over pronouns vs simply keeping their head down.

I assume Ireland doesn't have any first amendment freedom of religion legality to maneuver through.

Not like the US but the basic concepts will still exist legally. Quick search shows it's article 44 of the Irish constitution.

I'd assume it goes to court to determine whether or not the religious argument is sound. Which I think will prove difficult because the concept of choosing your own pronouns came about long after religious dogma was established and "Thou shalt not use they them pronouns" isn't so clearly written anywhere.

I'm more of a fan of the compelled speech argument. You can call yourself whatever you want and ask others to call you that too but other people aren't obligated to respond. Anyone who disagrees with this I then ask them to call me "your majesty" few oblige.

The lawyer should explain how pro nouns ultimately has to do with gay shit and the Bible is against that .
