An idea just popped into my head about how we get charged the 5cent can deposit for soft drinks. Imagine if we just used that deposit for subsidizing health care? Sugar is the number 1 reason for obesity and as it stands now in my state it's getting impossible to do can redemption. There used to be bulk redemption facilities all over the place. Now the only place you can do it is at a supermarket 1 can at a time and God forbid you have cans for a brand they don't sell inside that specific store and the machine will refuse to take the cans.

Might as well just have the 5 cents be a health care tax. If a fat ass wants to drink a 30 pack per week then they eat the cost.

Skinny-fats need to be raised too. They have the same health problems as other obese people, except they get a pass due to skinny-fat logic aka muh bmi instead of body fat percentage.
