All these ways the peasants revolted, and yet no one had on the Bingo card "the culture war becomes so tribalized that literally anything a corporation does or does not do will lead to instantly Thanos-snapping their market share as half the country boycotts them for not being on their side."

Yeah, it’s not the ending anyone expected.

What’s weird though is that these corporations have ignored the cheat code, just stop saying shit about divisive topics. We don’t need to know if Lockheed-Martin supports women’s right to choose, whether Amazon thinks that being gay is okay or if Monsanto supports the poor, poor trans babies (they do). They could just shut the fuck up and make they products/services, like they used to.

As a world, we should all be uniting as one to laugh at Apple, who for some reason think that people will spend $3500 to strap on a pair of skigoogles with an embedded laptop and walk around. Come on, I think it’s the final proof that turning on the large hadron collider was a terrible mistake that damaged the timeline.

The problem is that, while that WAS the cheat code, it's likely changed by now into "not saying something is the same as saying something is like saying the opposing thing", and "if you're not vocally on one side, you're on the other". If it hasn't happened now, it'll happen imminently where the culture war goes to "choose which side you're on or we BOTH boycott".
