I mean, he asked the question. And since he's quite obviously not someone that the straight guys lurking subs like that want to fuck, they have no reason to kind or generous about their appraisals. I suspect that the only reason he didn't come out of that raw and bloody is because the commenters didn't want trip the "helpless UwU trans is being bullied, summon the mod/admin hatetrain and run them over with it" alarms.

I mean it's reddit. It's the internet. What do you expect?

Raw internet is super fucking negative. You can put up totally innocuous stuff and get all sorts of unhinged crazy comments. Which is why I basically don't ever buy the "I'm a victim" narrative when people say they get mean online comments. Yeah what do you expect?

Unless you maintain a heavily moderated super positive hug box where negativity is banned, you'll get negativity. You can't even complain about it.

If someone randomly comes up to you and calls you ugly they are the asshole. If you go and ask people their opinion you can't complain when they give you an opinion you don't like. You asked for it.
