Right off the bat the article is using this article to espouse their feelings by trying to discredit someone complaining about the degenerate pervert pushing their troopers on kids by saying they weren’t offering any evidence. Instead of just offering facts they have to inject their feelings into it.

Demonising parents who are concerned for their children is proceeding as planned. It really is beginning to look like there are a powerful contingent that just wants to take children away from their parents and it’s disgusting.

"I get that people have freedom of speech and the ability to believe and have their own opinions, but when it directly results in affecting the livelihood of another person, it’s unconscionable.”

NO FUCKING SHIT, HUH???

Hmm. Likely a Smollett.

Right.

It’s all a little convenient.

Also, I seriously doubt a parent is going to break into a school and burn a little pride flag. It’s the equivalent of going out in an ice storm at 2am equipped with a noose and bleach on the off chance a black person is getting a sandwich at the same time.

I mean it seems like an awful lot of effort just to burn a pride flag. If you're going to cross that line to comitting a crime aren't you going to do more damage than just smash a flowerpot and burn a single flag? Like idk, trash a bunch of books in the library as well. Just seems like wasted opportunity to do nothing else if you are already there from how I see it.

I'd not be certain it's necessarily this teacher that did it, but it seems to me the most likely perpetrators for this are either a teacher or a student. The idea that it might be a disgruntled parent seems very much a stretch.

Like we may just be looking at a case where a student was like "let's burn this it will cause maximum lolz for the trollz"

Unfortunately this seems like the Occam's razor answer at this point.

What flag even it that? I can see it's diagonal stripes and horizontal stripes potentially in the shape of the trans injected pride flag. But the colours are wrong and not in a way that suggests heat damage.

I’ve just searched through as many flag listings as I can stomach and can’t find one that matches those colours. So Im going to guess it’s one of the tumblrina extra-special gender/sexuality flags. Maybe someone who only has romantic feelings for inanimate objects when there’s a r in the month and the NFL regular season is over and gets aroused by the thought of bitcoin mining using a graphing calculator in a bus shelter in Durham, UK in the rain on a Tuesday, whilst be stroked by a hand in a rubber glove whilst stolen luggage is placed on incontinence pads at their feet.

Whoa, that was a close one. But fortunately, you specified Durham in the UK so it's definitely not me you're describing there!

You told me in confidence, so I made a that change to protect you.

Worried you'd been hate crimed by having your flag burned?

[–]Wanderingthehalls 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The thing is. If a bunch of parents broke in to do hate crimes. Would they even recognise the random coloured flag as something that they could take their furious vengeance out on?

Which even furthers the case that the troon probably did it ximself, since nobody else probably even knew what kind of fucking flag it was supposed be.

Pretty sure it's one of the lesbian flags.

Ah, of course he's a lesbian. Yeah I think you're got it right.

Teacher is a TiF, a troonette.

Hmm... Curious then.

The light pink and orange are present on the "trans inclusive lesbian flag" but not in that order. And those colours look like a chevron of strips on the side of horizontal stripes. The only horizontal stripes left visible are purple and pink, like on the bi flag, but these are two thin. So it could be the older seven stripe rainbow flag which had a final pink stripe.

The parents are upset over an upcoming “Pride assembly” for their kids at elementary school and the troon teacher just happens to find their pride flag burnt?

Hol’ up, wait a minute, something ain’t right!

I remember when schools taught children about grammar and calculus. I can only imagine the level of ignorance in the future. It'll make medieval peasants seem cultured. And, since we're going full medieval, just close down schools already and send kids to work in farms and factories.

I remember when schools taught children about grammar and calculus.

Okay, boomer! Hehe, I wish we could get rid of all the extraneous shit and get back to basics in education.

Funnily enough, I was in primary school in the eighties and it was the educational fashion back then to deliberately not teach grammar. The loony-tunes educationalists at the time thought teaching grammar would stifle creativity and so they didn’t bother. I had to teach myself proper grammar when I got to secondary school.

These days, in English primary schools anyway, grammar is taught to a really high level - to the point that, because I was never formally taught grammar, when I started teaching I had to look up stuff like subordinate clauses, fronted adverbials, imperative verbs and reported vs direct speech.

Yeah, learning languages without studying grammar wasn't a thing in my country back then, but recently it's starting to become popular for learning foreign languages in high schools. It's bullshit, obviously.

I wish my high school taught calculus so i wouldn't have had to struggle so much balancing calc with other stem classes.

I wish Khan Academy had existed when I was at university struggling with statistics and bioreactor equations.

The problem was that it took so much time so i tried to shortcut by using my calculator which was ok until I got to multivariable calc which the calculator couldn't handle and I had to redo calc 1 and 2 over summer semesters. I went to class then worked 8 hrs then spent the entire rest of the evening doing the assigned homework. I had a friend comment once that he couldn't understand how I had to spend that much time on 1 class.

The upside was that after spending that much time actually learning the mechanics of derivatives and integrals, expanding that to calc 3 multivariable stuff was extremely easy. It's weird how the calculator can easily solve the 1 and 2 stuff while absolutely failing at the calc 3 stuff but at a human level the 1 and 2 stuff is extremely painful to get while converting those skills to multivariable and vector math became almost simple.
