Because Bud Light apparently didn't learn a single thing after the Mulvaney mess has tanked their sales, they'll be sponsoring a Pride Parade next month. Their competitors are probably already thanking them for the guaranteed shift in summer sales.

Bet this was arranged months and months ago before anyone had even thought of contacting Mulvaney. These Pride sponsorships used to be totally “meh” no one cared, it’s only the sudden freakish turn that the corporations have taken in their Pride tie-in promotions (Mulvaney, and Target stocking “tucking swimsuits”, Pride kids wear and actual Satanic themed LGBT t-shirts) that has caused controversy.

The thing I find quite funny is that Pride organisers have always been willing to take sponsorships from morally ambiguous sources (HSBC, Raytheon etc) they would probably take money from China if it was enough.

I agree. But right now, it's not the truth of the arrangement that anyone will care about, but the perception of it. Because my title is pretty much how everyone currently unhappy with Bud Light (and A-B) will see it.

Well of course they would. Because at the end of day, it all spends the same no matter what the source is. Besides, considering how many people on the left in general are quite happy to blatantly ignore China's record on human rights--when's the last time you saw a leftie care about, or even mention, Hong Kong or those Uyghurs--because of reasons, they probably wouldn't even hold their noses and flinch while taking it, like they might from another source.

Corporate sponsored pride has always been pandering idiocy but it seemed like the only people who noticed it were people who actually went to pride.
