It’s remarkable how quickly closing one site/sub can ruin others when the refugees spread their infection.

You saw it pretty regularly when Reddit still had "problematic" subs. They'd shut down one, and the people there would spread to others in a wave, leading (eventually) to more subs getting shut down. In fact, I'm actually convinced that the admins were doing it that way on purpose, basically using the refugees to find other subs that they could then nail for wrongthink in their efforts to control opinions on the site.

Our sub was an excellent example of that. Certainly trans issues were already becoming a more frequent topic since they're the woke flavor of the day, but it was only after all the TERF subs got shut down that TiA became for all intents and purposes a trans criticism sub.

Yeah, and the terfs infesting the place were, towards the end, getting pretty comfy acting out against other members who called them on their own bullshit. They had to be reminded pretty hard that they were TiA fodder too.

Yeah that sucked. They turned it into gender critical 2.0 and it was gone shortly after.
