That's 10, Quest complete!, +200xp and 55 copper coins.

Now run to Ironforge, take the tram to Stormwind, and continue questing in Elwynn Forest

Ugh, it's an indigenous appeasement Tumblr clown.

"Please applaud my virtue signaling as I proudly declare that I won't be jerking my pud to this particular native example of my fetish, aren't I awesome?!?"

It's like the Kimono shit.

Bunch of 2nd gen ungrateful Chinese bitch American whine about how some fashion exhibit has a kimono and it's racist because it's something only Asians can wear.

Meanwhile the Japanese are all like "look our culture is so cool that even white people want to copy us! Let's sell them more of this shit!"

[–]OuroborosTheory 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

iirc they were more Filipino and Dominican and only one East Asian (deculturated, of course)

ah, here's the photo of Japanese women literally trying to talk sense into the monolinguals too young to drink https://www.evilenglish.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/kimonowednesday_02.jpg

"it's literally killing us!" got old after a while

Lol that sign. Someone skipped out on slogan writing class.

Help help the kimono is killing me help! I'm like superman except instead of green rocks I'm allergic to the sight of the ubermensch demeaning himself by wearing a Qi Pao oh the humanity the indignity will someone please stop those white people from belittling themselves by stooping to wear the immoral clothing of the unchristian savages!

and they always talk like there's a yellowface revue at every community theater or school pageant, or like "AAPIs" aren't on average better off than HUWITE MALES--but sometime back in 1903 there was a popular yellowface show! and violent discrimination! people who looked like you did bad things to people who looked like me! I now have full moral license because I took a worthless major in rude chromolithos from the Victorian Era!

it reminds me of how Radovan Karadžić would hypnotize his patients until they "recovered" an ancestral memory of being an oppressed Serb, and that's why they needed a country of their own with nobody else--left: here history's just a pile of past junk to be ransacked to support present-day standards (which, as we all know, are eternal), and not a way of understanding how people used to understand their world

"anti-antifragile" is a good way of putting it, like that Twitterer who went on and on about how Cuphead had no racial stereotypes but she spent the whole game fearing a jumpscare by one because the 20s and 30s cartoons had racial stereotypes

they came up with the "prejudice pyramid" (the one with "unintentional offense" at the bottom and "extermination camps" at the top) to pump up the hair-tearing emotionalism (of course) but also as cope: they can't stop minorities the minoritized global majority from being screwed by the imprisonment system or LGBTQ2IAAP+ marginalized genders from being screwed by mortgage fraud or whatever, but they can go after Uncle Ben's Rice or get a land acknowledgement (and, when that doesn't solve everything, complain about the tokenism of that move and come in with a NEW demand that they certainly won't reject once it's actually conceded to them THIS time!)

this all seemed new and even revolutionary in like 2015, but after a decade we've "got their number," these campus "activists" have become HR drones or "radical knitters," everyone hates the radfems and Robin DiAngelo: even the contradictions have become potted ("#BelieveAllWomen and suspend jury trials for certain crimes but also free the falsely accused?" "do mixed-race people have privilege?") and all they can do is baww about "sealioning" because they can't admit that two "Good" categories can have contradictory

and all they've gotten for their antics is some Corporate Memphis posters about how Black people can't be expected to show up or talk proper or that the Eeloleelo tribe has a gender that only existed among 2010s art students, and the same pasty-white gerontocracy they thought would vanish like smoke

It's funny how you can understand exactly what's happening just by seeing this photo

[–]OuroborosTheory 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

the worst thing is that the museum caved after even that--that's probably the worst part, not that they bent the knee to some 20yo tyrant tots who had just learned about a topic, but that they bent the knee AFTER lifelong actual Japanese/American kimono experts said the protest was more offensive than anything whitey could be doing while wearing one

if these niche ideologies didn't have panicked "grownups" who had some power catering to them in the press, universities, book publishing, HR departments, etc. people could at least argue there might be other ways to interpret the world: now everyone looks like they're going along, but everyone's also just PRETENDING

I even remember the slacktivists saying it didn't matter what people in Japan or first-generation immigrants felt about the culture they knew, because it was up to Asian-studies "experts" in the American context to decide

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The whole thing was utterly retarded. I remember back at the time having a good laugh about all the racist Japanese people in Japan who wear business suits. How dare they appropriate western clothing! Of course you'd get some dumbass claiming it was different because oppression or something, which is pretty damn funny that they somehow snoozed through history class.

Personally I think these sorts of attitudes border on "dangerously racist" since the very idea that the clothing one may wear is determined by their race seems adjacent to the idea that one must wear certain clothing based on their race, which if you can see the connection congratulations, you get a gold star! And a free trip to study camp!

[–]OuroborosTheory 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

it's like the Smithsonian disaster where they put out a flyer literally saying Black people can't be expected to speak correctly or show up on time or be educated

but they're on the side of Good, so they wouldn't support something that wasn't!

that's also why they flip so quickly on everything: you'd be fired or expelled if you didn't click a little box saying "Robin DiAngelo is right about everything, and I certify that I am a racist who can never really interact with Black people and not just clicking this box ti keep my job/degree" or "nobody gets accused of rape for no reason, as a penis-bearing monster I certify that I am already guilty"; a month later they're condemning everything they made mandatory

I collect dolls, and there is a line of collector Bratz dolls wearing kimonos.

The company that makes Bratz are currently doing a 20th anniversary recreation of the Bratz dolls.

The company has confirmed they will not be bringing back the kimono line due to cUlTuRaL aPpRoPriAtaioN

Sorry, Japanese people, your cultural dress does not get celebrated 💅

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 4 fun2 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

It's utterly stupid. If you go to Kyoto or wherever you'll see loads of Japanese people and non-japanese people appropriating the fuck out of them and they love it. Especially since there's businesses that rent them out and sell them make a killing.

We must protect the Japanese from culturally appropriating themselves!

[–]BellaBlue 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I frequent anime conventions, and last year attended a panel about kimonos.

The hosts shared how when they went to Japan, they went to a kimono store, and the little old ladies working there treat you like a fashion doll and dress you up how they see fit. Obviously you get a say, but for the most part, the sanbas treat you like a doll. It's great.

What is this mysterious, forbidden, W-word?

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 6 insightful - 9 fun6 insightful - 8 fun7 insightful - 9 fun -  (5 children)

Woman? The scariest of all the mythical spirits. Fear it's ability to drain your credit cards of their value. Cower in shame at their skill in weaving emotional and logical arguments together to befuddle and confuse men to convince them against building a trebuchet in the back yard.

[–]jet199 5 insightful - 9 fun5 insightful - 8 fun6 insightful - 9 fun -  (1 child)

Women are a myth and everyone knows that.

Literally every time someone loudly claims to be a woman on the internet they turn out to be a man in a dress.

Lets debunk this nonsense once and for all.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Women are literally just made from ribs. Seriously read your bible! God made Man, then Man was sad so God made ribs. All men love ribs. Then God made football and beer.

Women came from Satan, they try to distract man away from ribs, beer, and football. Then God sent HeySeus the carpenter to build a wall and keep out the Women from the Man Cave, but some Men rebelled against HeySeus and told him to go back to his country, so god punished man by making football two hand touch and making man drink Bud Light. And so the miserable state of man continues to this day.

Amen. Awomen. And Aneuter

Now you're supposed to say wo-person or, alternatively woe-person. You have clearly spent some time in their presence. At first I thought it was a spirit we can drink but I guess it is a sky god*.

Please avoid the problematic word person since it promotes the patriarchy. Per/son/daughter is acceptable in legacy documentation but should be avoided due to its binary trigger capacity. Instead please use the term meat sack.

[–]LyingSpirit472 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Meatsack is offensive to vegans. The most properly respectful viewpoint is "fuckstick" for those who have a fuckstick to use or equivalent, or "fuckhole" for those who have some hole to be a cocksheath to put a fuckstick into.

Wendigo, most likely. If you want to see degeneracy in action, just consider that the word "wendussy" exists.

Thank you: Wendigo (/ˈwɛndɪɡoʊ/) is a mythological creature or evil spirit originating from the folklore of Plains and Great Lakes Natives. It is based in and around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the United States, and the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada, grouped in modern ethnology as speakers of Algonquian-family languages. The wendigo is often said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. The wendigo is said to invoke feelings of insatiable greed/hunger, the desire to cannibalize other humans, and the propensity to commit murder in those that fall under its influence.

Wendigo sounds like something to be avoided.

The ones in Dun Morogh are only lv6 or so, if you made it through the cave/tunnel from the starting area you'll have no problem dealing with them.

funny thing is the Cree and Chippewa literally had a public dance during bad winters to not covet thy neighbors' plump, juicy calves

(and of course she's a self-confessed "colonizer" without a clue about what she's gotten into, that's like a step below "pretendian")

[–]LtGreenCo 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

colonizers

If it wasn't for colonizers most native peoples of the world would still be in the dark ages. How about a little gratitude for the fact that they aren't still living in huts, wearing loincloths, hunting with sticks, and drinking feces water.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's always bothered me when these insufferable cunts start getting on about white people using, spreading or otherwise enjoying indigenous culture.

Like it's a sad thing that a lot of these old traditions are dying out and here you are encouraging that shit. Most old people are fucking thrilled when the young people take interest in the old traditions they don't give a fuck what they look like, not enough of the actual natives are interested anyway since like any young kids they are more interested in shiny new shit, not that I blame them, but it's a common problem in modern society.

[–]TheMaharishi 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

You are ignorant. Why should they be grateful we brought them diabetes and trannyfags.

[–]jet199 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The reason they have a higher rate of diabetes is because they had a higher rate of starvation in their history than Europeans who developed a culture to avoid that.

I'm sure they'd rather their kids were starving to death regularly than having so much food they have to take some responsibility for their diets though.

My dad's mother was Abenaki, one of the nations that believe in Wendigos.

I'll talk about Wendigos all day long until the Wendigos come to take me.

[–]fuck_redditThou/Thee/Thy 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

”Haven’t we (colonizers) taken enough from indigenous peoples…?”

Well, considering they were apparently living under “true Communism” or whatever, they had no land for my ancestors to steal. Besides the land and a few proto-crops, they had nothing of value to offer.
