Has anyone else received emails from companies offering opt-out options for their Mothers Day advertising? It's a weird trend. If I'm triggered by Mother's Day sales, why would an opt-out email referencing mother's Day be less triggering? Wouldn't it be easier to simply ignore unwanted emails than proactively opt out of them? It feels like they're making a point of female erasure.

I'll be curious to see if they do this for fathers day.

Okay, aside from one misspelled word, what is there even to complain about here?

"Mom" is gendered. That was the complaint.

And for those lunatics gender >>> sex, so there you have it.

I agree in that it's "Sexed", but I maintain it's also gendered. Only women can be mothers, and mothers must be women.

Yeah but if we give single father’s attention then we’d have to admit that dads are important, and we obviously can’t do that! It’d might make people actually think fathers should have a say in custody battles!

Remember this Sunday to thank your birthing parent for chest-feeding you as a non-binary infant.
