I read a lot of fanfiction, and there some HP stuff in there. I saw one author actually go deliberately out of his way to shoehorn a significant chunk of a recent chapter into a treatise on magical society's treatment of trans people and how they're "born" that way, and how magicals are obviously superior to ignorant muggles in their treatment of trans people (including a special, never-before-mentioned special potion of sexchange). He flat-out admitted in the author's note that this section was specifically a "take that" aimed at Rowling and her so-called transphobia.

I had laugh at the glaring irony of this nigger--and there's just no other word to fully express my contempt for this assclown's blatant virtue signal--saying this in a story that he's built (and is raking in Patreon funds for) on the back of her work. He acts exactly as you just described, like it's his personal property because he writes some (admitted, pretty good aside from the trans part) fanfiction around it, and she has the unmitigated gall to stain it with her "bigotry."
