All I see are excuses. What happened there is a tragedy and the shooter is no less responsible for those deaths just because its a trans who did it. Many people have to deal with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and PTSD as well, but when these demons come knocking you learn how to deal with them. Being mentally ill is not a shield to hide behind and use as get out of jail free card. That being said, I can't get over how ridiculous that unicorn logo looks. The flag as well... this is a serious statement wrapped in soft baby blue and sparkly girly pink, all adorned by a mythical magical horny-horse. It's hard to take this TRN group seriously.

They're making that judgement before we've even seen the manifesto which frankly should detail the inner thoughts of the person in question.

Gunning down 9 year olds is indefensible full stop. I don't care if the gunman is a holocaust survivor, child rape victim, paranoid delusional schizo convinced that their cheese sandwich is talking about them. There's no defense of the murder of children that can paint the shooter as a victim. They might be a victim of something else but that doesn't justify the crime of murder and especially the murder of children makes the perpetrator unworthy of any sympathy.

Trans Resistance Network: "The second and more complex tragedy is that Aiden or Aubrey Hale, who felt he had no other effective way to be seen than to lash out by taking the life of others, and by consequence, himself."

They're saying there were two tragedies. One is more complex than the other. The second tragedy was unavoidable because we evil people forced him to do this. It's our fault.

And just wait until they realize the police killed "him". It'll be a George Floyd sainthood all over again.

They're saying there were two tragedies.

Yeah, this is fucking unforgivable. It goes to show the narcissistic personality of whoever wrote that garbage. It’s all about them.

Public won't buy it. Person killed while shooting kids won't get near the sympathy vote as drug addict killed during arrest.

See the difference is, while we can argue until the cows come home about how justified the George Floyd killing was, there is literally no argument to be had trying to defend an active murderer getting killed while in the act of murdering children.

The cops were not only absolutely justified in killing that cunt, they are heroes. They saved all those other kids lives good for them.

George Floyd was a multiple felon who once held a pregnant black woman at gunpoint. He broke into her home with a gang of men and pointed a gun at her pregnant stomach.

They can make a hero out of anyone. Just watch it happen. After all, zimselves killed a bunch of Christians, who are the designated acceptable hate target. They feel no more for us than they feel for an APC full of Russians that got massacred.

"Good. They deserved it."

Floyd is far from the type of person we should be deifying, but getting killed (or dying from an overdose) due to a case of potential police brutality, is far different than getting killed while actively shooting at and murdering children. Doesn't even compare.

[–]William_World 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

that's like saying we shouldn't make the murdered childen heroes. But they made george a hero and will make the trans woman a hero.

OK on a site for political dissidents, you're now suddenly broadcasting mainstream positions that would fit right in on Reddit. Super sus.

[–]Haylstorm 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

It explains but doesn't excuse imo.

Like there have been some really heartbreaking cases that you can use to justify making changes to not have it happen again but that person is still going to prison for what they did.

If the person is going after the faculty alone or the politicians while still not excusable it does carry some degree of understandability as the person wishes revenge on whom they see as their enemy.

But gunning down children.

I refuse to understand that.

I mean I'd want to understand it to prevent it happening again. It's an absolutely insane thing to do, if you find out it's the meds they were on that made them go nutso you can at least ban/restrict the use of them to (hopefully) prevent it happening again.

If it's just them being that unhinged I'm not sure there's much you can do...

I want to see this person's mannifesto. But I'm not going to find anything in it that is going to come close to justifying or even giving me some understanding as to why they decided to murder children. I'll just see what was in their head. Of course I'm curious about what that is.

I went to a small Christian school like this at one point. I have complaints. But fuck I'd never think of killing the kids man not even in the darkest moments. Holy shit. That would be like killing my friends back then. That would mean killing other kids in the same position you were in. It's pure evil. I can't understand it. I don't even want to attempt to understand it.

Meds may contribute but I think it's truly evil. Hell you know what, I think I do understand it but you've got to leave the world of the rational (which these people do) and to do so you risk your own soul in a way. These people, mass shooters, are essentially doing what we'd call a "deal with the devil", they are despondent at their life circumstances and totally and utterly consumed by hate. They want to feel power over their situation, they are given the deal, they can trade their humanity, become a monster, and feel power, and that's what they do, though the devil is not concerned with the wellbeing of the monster, and the monster once they've given up on humanity and gained the power to commit unthinkable evil is not destined for a good end. This is an uncomfortable fact of life, that anyone is more or less capable of great evil if they choose to abandon their humanity, it's why the star wars prequels weren't well received.

There's little to do to stop it besides giving anyone who advocates for such evil a good verbal lashing in hopes of disuading them.

I think people get really furious and want to not kill the people they hate but kill their children, because then that is worse than being dead in their opinion. I think that's why the sandy hook kid did it and the uvalde one and many others.

Atrocity Hanlon's Razor in action:

Never attribute to malice what can be more logically attributed to cowardice.

It's possible they did it because "killing your children would be a fate worse than death", but it's much more likely it boiled down to "they were a coward who wanted victims who had no chance of fighting back. They wouldn't go after the people they hate because they knew damn well they wouldn't have a chance against them in a fair fight, even if they had a gun."

Logic? Oh wow hum okay uh um hmm… don’t you understand how dangerous your alt right concepts like logic are? You need to unlearn your hateful ideologies asap buckaroodle and give in to the inner desire I’m telling you that you have by getting gender reassignment surgery. After you cut off your sex organs you will no longer need logic. You will only need vengeance. Vengeance against the cis heteronormative neurotypical bio luminescent white male patriarchy. Be better educate yourself and submit. Or else.

so why did the trans man go to that specific christian school why not some other school

[–]LyingSpirit472 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Does it matter which school it goes to? I doubt there's any schools with children who'd be able to put up a fight.

Heck, if you want to say it had to be a Christian school, it can also have a case: It's just as likely it was "they did it to hurt people who voted for this anti-trans law by making them outlive their kids" as it was "they did it because they thought if they get arrested, the parents would demand the courts show them mercy because of their religion." And very likely both of those things.
