Holy shit, I thought you were gone. But just like herpes, you suddenly flare up to remind us all of your infectious presence.

…do you want me to be gone?

No, of course not. You're ever so entertaining, unlike the herpes.

My father always said I was like a bad rash. Eventually I would grow on you but god would you be happier if I wasn't around.

why choose the time to attack him when he's making a great sarcastic post

If you'd been around here for a bit, you'd be aware that poking at Ad when he's making his silly posts is part of the show. Audience participation and all.

I guess it's true autists can't detect sarcasm.

I'm going to invoke Poe's law.

I've seen enough rediculous arguments taken completely seriously before it's hard to tell. I offended some cunts back in college by channeling some Jonathan Swift and suggesting that we could end the problem of both world hunger and overpopulation if we simply directed people to eat their excess children. It was quite hilarious to watch them take the argument as some serious suggestion and was even more fun to toss in a few other more rediculous suggestions such a recommending decapitations as emergency weight loss surgery as both immediately removed about 10 pounds of weight and had a marked negative impact on the appetites of all involved witnesses as well.

I don't even think it's the autists. Most of them who could manage to string together coherent sentences tended to be pretty good sports about it. (Although the "oh I see you are making a joke, how humorous" comments did tend to wear thin)

It was mostly non-autistic overly emotional types who weren't that bright and driven entirely by emotion that would get very incessed at the suggestion. "Killing fat people terrible!!!" What no really? Since when?

Also guys I think it's time to remind you all that rape is a bad thing. I know men just love to rape but it's bad mkay. Don't rape. The more you know! Also remember to breathe. Thanks.

It may be a generational thing. I'm Gen X and back in the 80s and 90s sarcasm was pretty much the language we spoke. Everything was ironic. People these days seem much more literal and earnest, which is good, but they don't seem tuned into sarcasm and take things at face value. Like if you post a sarcastic take on Reddit you better put an /s at the end or get downvoted to oblivion. Could be the medium too, without tone of voice it can be hard to tell.

Mostly the internet I think.
