Oh man, the comments are hilarious.

stay scared shit het

Unblocking you to tell you you're a piece of shit for joining this transphobic mass hysteria...

Actually thought you were one of the good ones...

Didn't realize TYT was right-wing now.

Alright AK Rowling chill

[I'm assuming this is in reference to Rowling "killing" trannies and that Avada Kedavra spell from the HP books. This tweet had a brief reply chain that ended with a shitty gif captioned "Shut the hell up TERF."]

And there's a series of back-and-forth tweets from some withered old stick named Frances 'Cassandra' Coppola which has to be read to really get the full enjoyment, because no summary of mine could do it justice. She also pops up later on to offer the tired "chromosomal abnormalities" defense, blatantly ignoring the point when someone points out that they're abnormalities.

Someone invokes Hitler (because of course).

Oh, we have a bona fide doctor chiming to offer his opinion on why those words are totally correct.

Another mention of intersex people, the favored shield of the TRAs when someone talks about biological reality.

Someone mentions Ana taking the red pill, which immediately has a TRA popping in to claim that the concept was invented by a trans (except that the trans in question was a MAN when he came up with it).

OP, you are such a hero for providing this fresh milk from all of these lolcows :D.

I used to watch TYT years ago but they slowly over time adopted more and more of the neoliberal DNC talking points. I think they were infected by the brain worms of trump derangement syndrome. It became unbearable so i stopped watching a long time ago...

With that said, in the old old days of TYT Ana was pretty different. She had some libfem takes like you would expect on old TIA. She had an argument claiming women had no advantages in society etc ... Cenk made a bet with her to go to the local mall and ask a random man to buy her a pair of expensive shoes she wanted. Turns out the stranger she picked agreed and just bought her the shoes and then. Ana came in the next day and changed her mind on the entire argument.

My point is that she does seem like someone who will change her mind on something if evidence slaps her in the face.

That's fair, I frankly don't really mind the rad fems that don't go around biting people's heads off, I just consider them to be naive.

Like it's totally fair for women to be upset with their lot in life, we all are to some extent, but it's pretty much stupid to sit around complaining about it rather than just going and making the best of the hand you are dealt. Women have some advantages in life. They also have disadvantages, same as men. I don't think we'll ever be able to meet out what is "equal" because it's trying to quantify something totally unquantifiable.

But hey credit to her if she'll change her tune. That's a sign of intelligence when you'll change your position when confronted with reality.

I've always been somewhat sympathetic with the rad-fems so far as they are critical of the trad-fems. But they both kind of lose the plot in a single minded focus on their own position.

Like when Hilary lost to Trump. Sure we could whine about feminism being dead or whatever, but it really just speaks to how shit a candidate Hilary was that she'd lose to Donald trump of all people, if you take that as a condemnation of women everywhere you've got to get your head examined. Much like with the abortion issue people forget women aren't a monolith and actually hold their own disparate opinions on things, funny that.

That Twitter thread is interesting.

I see people using the “No one actually says ‘birthing person/uterus-haver’” to try to gaslight her and everyone else.

Oh, and she’s slowly adjusting her perspectives as her opinions and the opinions of her colleague keep clashing with what she is seeing in reality. I seem to recall she threw a tantrum over crime and Democratic district attorneys refusing to prosecute criminals.

Yeah, I'm thinking that trying to gaslight her on this is going to backfire.

NPR was using "people who get pregnant" and the like on the radio.

I expect a ‘why I left the left’ from her anytime soon

Yes, yes she is. Imagine if a trans person posted a tweet like that. They'd get zero blowback. These people complain about the laws targeting them and the 'hate' they get, and can't understand they've invited it all on themselves.
