That question supports a libertarian concept of gender ID. The position dramatically shifts as soon as it starts impacting other people and their children.

Yeah, I think the public support for that position is heavily influenced by the success of the gay rights movement. “I don’t care what you get up to, so long as it doesn’t affect me or my kids”. If they had just left it at that then there wouldn’t be any big issues, but they couldn’t just leave it there because unlike gay rights, it only works if everyone kowtows to their demands.

Looking at the other propositions, support amongst the British public, particularly men, drops off precipitously.
